Kirkwa
Hey guys just ordered a link knock setup. Was wondering if it’s a stand alone system or if it can be wired in to the ecu so it’s running live with engine to control detonation
Confused
If you've got a G4x ECU, as it says under your name, then it has on board knock hardware. All you need is a knock sensor wired up to it https://dealers.linkecu.com/Knock-Sensor-with-Loom-KNSB The G4x has a new "Normalised Knock" feature which, from what I can understand, takes a lot of the existing configuration and fine-tuning of knock control away, and gives you something that is much easier to set up. Kirkwa
Ok, well in the vl plug and play manual for the g4x. It only has pin 21 for the knock sensor. Say nothing else about it
Adamw
The VL plug-in already has the factory knock sensor connected, so you dont need anything else for knock control to work. You will still need the audio device or a tuner with one to do a decent job tuning it though.
Kirkwa
Ok, so just hook up to pin 21. Cheers
Kirkwa
Quick question do I run 1 or 2 knock sensor regards
Adamw
You can only run one with that ecu as there is only one knock pin. Kirkwa
