Matt_J Posted March 16, 2023 Report Share Posted March 16, 2023 Just wondering if anyone can help out with wiring up the factory Toyota tacho cluster in a KP starlet to aux output of an AtomX? Have connected Ign - terminal of cluster to aux 4 and tried a test on 240hz and the cluster only sweeps when the indicators are blinking? Is the speedo a high voltage unit and will it require one of those conversion boxes to drive it via an aux output? Any info appreciated, cheers! You can use a "tacho booster" between the aux and the tacho or you will probably find info online showing how to modify the tacho to work with a 12V signal if you are game. Are you referring to a bridge being soldered in place of the internal tacho? I would prefer to mod the cluster than have another device wired in line with the tach.
