4AGE CAS Wiring

I'm currently wiring a Link Atom to a 4age, and would like some confirmation of the CAS wiring.

The distributor has a 24 tooth lower wheel, and 4 tooth upper wheel. Is it correct that I'll need to chop off 3 of the upper teeth to create a single tooth wheel? If so, does it matter which teeth I remove?

Also, can you confirm that Trigger 1 gets wired to the 24 tooth wheel sensor, and Trigger 2 gets wired to the 4 tooth (soon to be single tooth) sensor? And Signal Gnd will get wired to the two already joined wires which are common to both sensors.

Cheers

Any tooth will work.

But... If you temporarily install the dizzy, turn the engine to TDC#1 compression stroke, mark the tooth that's closest to pointing at the sensor, keep this one, remove the others.  Then this will mean later when you are ready to start your trigger offset will be somewhere near zero which may make life easier.

Just curious is it better to source a bigport distributor due to no modification required  (see below) or will either work?

@Kirjo Yes, that will work, but you'll lose a lot of CAS resolution on Trig 1 (24T on cam or every 30° crank angle VS 4T on cam or every 180° crank angle).
Better if you can find a smallport distributor which from the factory already has CAS 24T + 1T.
