David Frechette
What crank wheel trigger tooth count should this configuration have? 36-6? I am counting by feel (7) high sides with 1 full revolution of the crank, I believe that is a 6/7 tooth count? G4+ does not indicate tooth count in HELP or otherwise under Trigger Setup: Subaru EJ25 AVCS, Trigger 1 TYPE Reluctor. 02 EJ25, closed deck, good internals, it had Stock DOHC heads and just installed 06 STI heads with AVCS (intake) . Running a G4+ Fury. No spark while cranking, ignition tests good (wasted spark). The other thing I am noticing is that all Subaru AVCS versions V7-9 and V10 are using direct spark, I dont see why the ignition type would prevent firing so I have narrowed it down crank trigger. However I am considering updating to wasted spark since I have pulled the engine harness to verify all wiring. Please advise tooth count so I can get that changed out.
