claudiumxg
Hello,Is it posible for g4+ extreme to run the 4g15t mivec trigger pattern?Recomended settings? Or it requires custom code?Thank you Edited August 1, 2017 by claudiumxg Pic added
Simon
Having a look at our supported patterns I can not find a match for that image. So unfortunately it would need custom code or the pattern modified. Is the motor fully variable cam timing or on off like the older engines?
jonnyt80
Pretty sure it's full VVT on the Intake can like the Evo IX
claudiumxg
thank you for your answer, it is similar to evo 9 mivec.what would be required to become a custom code ( trigger recording wit ecu oscilloscope?)? I have several colts here ready for link ecu install.
Simon
From this point it becomes a discussion with management to determine if it is a project that justifies the time.Given it is more than a one off application I think it is worth starting the conversation.I will pass the information through and see if there is any more required. Simon
I would suggest it likely to be many more months at this point. If time is an issue I would suggest looking at either changing the pattern to something already supported or to an alternative manufacturer Onurkayacik
Onurkayacik
Bu noktada daha çok ay olacağını önermiştim.Zaman meselesiyse, deseni halihazırda desteklenen bir şeye değiştirmeyi veya alternatif üreticiye bakmayı öneririmthanks for the reply I will wait
claudiumxg
Will changing to 3 equal tooth work for cam ? Because there is a preset in linkpc for 3 equal teeth
Simon
Closest would be to replicate the EVO 10 pattern which has a single long tooth that is high for half an engine cycle and low for the other half.
claudiumxg
With the evo 10 pattern can the mivec be controlled? As it is on the same cam? Which settings to use? Ps. Engine uses same sensor for sync and mivec. Waht would be the ideal.pater to replicate to be able to use the mivec. I can build any tooth shape. So the 3 symetric would not work ? Because is listed in the options?
Adamw
Yes, Evo 10 has Mivec on both cams. This is the pattern you want to duplicate: And then settings would be something like this:
claudiumxg
So is basically a high and low signal , and this can controll also the mivec with the 16-2 cranck trigger? . Mechanically the cam trigger has to to be aligned? Or we do this with the offset?

Yes. 10 minutes ago, claudiumxg said: Mechanically the cam trigger has to to be aligned? Or we do this with the offset? The alignment or phasing of the cam edges in relation to crank does not need to be exact but you do want it to be in a similar position to the picture above. We have quite a big tolerance which you zero out with the "offset" number. I would aim to have the cam edges occur roughly about 10-14 teeth after the big gaps on the crank. claudiumxg
Hi, What cam mode is to be used with 4g15t mivec in 5.6.6 3564?
Adamw
Try the Mazda 3 and Suzuki Swift V2, both of these look quite similar. If either of those dont work you will have to use the user-defined mode.
