v8bloke Posted January 26, 2019 Report Posted January 26, 2019 I would like to fit traction control to my 5.0L MGB. ECU is Link G4+Extreme. Planning to have some trigger wheels made, is there an optimum number of teeth that I should use. Thanks. Quote
Adamw Posted January 26, 2019 Report Posted January 26, 2019 12 teeth is a really good balance between resolution and range for most applications. Quote
v8bloke Posted January 26, 2019 Author Report Posted January 26, 2019 Thanks, no doubt I will have more questions as I proceed. Cheers Quote
v8bloke Posted February 4, 2019 Author Report Posted February 4, 2019 I have made the front trigger wheel with 12 teeth and really please with results. Moving on to the rear and things aren't as simple. My easiest (possibly only) option is to use the 6 bolts that attach the disc. will this work? Thanks in advance. Quote
Adamw Posted February 5, 2019 Report Posted February 5, 2019 Provided the sensor is capable of detecting the bolts reliably and it sees them as equally spaced edges, that should still work ok. Quote
iecku.tavea racing Posted February 5, 2019 Report Posted February 5, 2019 Wheel studs as trigger for traction control will also work for circuit applications. Tested it successful on several cars! Quote
Sven Posted September 23, 2019 Report Posted September 23, 2019 what sensor were you using on the wheel studs Iecku ? Quote
v8bloke Posted September 23, 2019 Author Report Posted September 23, 2019 I'm using these. http://www.kasensors.com/sites/default/files/downloads/SP08 Wheel Speed 10.18.pdf Sven 1 Quote
