    injector upgrade

Moving the master will be a good start. You will still have to check the mixtures through the full operating range. Making adjustments as needed to the zone or row fuel.
  2. Just an up date for the forum. Have received the ECU and will be giving it a good run up on the bench. Should know more soon. Simon
  3. Leads from the distributor to the spark plug. If these are non suppressed or copper core, or in poor condition this can be a cause of interference.
  4. Sure will. The Storm will continue to support rotarys. So no worries there.
  5. The map is a small size as its off a G1 ecu....how things change! On looking at the map the first thing I noticed is that you supply voltage is very low 6.4V If this is key on and motor not running I suspect that you might have some grounding issues. You should check the condition of the main grounds to the block form ECU and also the chassis to block. Simon
  6. Got that file through mint. I'll have a look and make some suggestions.
  7. Just check what com port is being assigned when the ECU is connected to the PC. Often to get the firmware update program to work the com port should be no higher than Com 9
  8. Can you post or email your current PCL file (map) through You can email it to [email protected]
  9. From the pictures all looks to be correct. I'm thinking it might be worth sending the ECU back in for a run up on the bench.
  10. Yep that will be fine to put direct to a DI
  11. This a level setting you will need to give the motor run with no knock and set the level a suitable amount above this base noise level. It might take a bit of tweeking as the power levels increase with tuning. What you want is for it to be able to pick up knock but not so sensitive that it picks up background noise.
  12. It needs to go to a Digital input on one side and to either 12V or ground on the other side of the switch. The rest is all setup through PCLink.
  13. Chances are you would get away with it. But its often better to be safe at the outset and just run the link wiring for the sensors right to them. Much harder to add the shielded cable at a later stage.

    Dizzy mapping

To do this efectivly you will need a dyno. You tend to tune ignition to make the best torque whilst avoiding det. You can have the situation of excessive advance but no det just reduced power. This is where tuners earn there money.
  15. If you have installed the USB drivers from the PC link software version 4.5.1 it would be best to try to go back to the earlier drives packed with the prior version of PC link. You will also have to check all the new options available with the upgrade including the AN input error values if these are set incorrectly the an volt channels might not function.
  16. The 101Kpa is what the map would be reading at key on.( I.e. atmosphere) Only way to reset the diagnostics is to power the ECU down. What type of ignition system is the engine running? Likely to be looking for a source of electrical noise. Ht leads not resistively supressed type, A bad lead?
  17. Hi You have the latest PC link installed. But is the ECU running the latest firmware. If you go to the help file whilst on line with the ECU and then click on ECU information and check the Firmware revision. This should be 4.5.1
  18. Think the issue might lie with the sensitivity of the RPM Converter! If you open this up I suspect you will find an adjustable trim pot. If this is there I would suggest adjusting it in either direction and see if the issue is improved. One direction might make it worse if this is the case head the other way.
  19. What is most likely happening is that the logging is at too slow of a rate to pick up the false RPM reading. How is the unit being triggered (getting its RPM reading)
  20. You will need the sub-board swapped over. Also the cas will need one of the teeth removed from the wheel with two currently.
  21. Hi Frank ECU looks to be all configured with the correct hardware. This is where its going to get had. We are going to need a scope pattern taken from the cam and crank sensors. So will need a two channel scope so we can see both wave forms at the same time. We can then check that the pattern and timing is correct. Simon
  22. Hi Scott Need a bit more info. Can you post your PCL file.
  23. Hi Got your email this time. Will have a look at it today with the engineers and see if its enough info for them. Simon
