  1. Thanks for replying, the thermocouple is soldered directly to the the amp pcb, before I go messing on with anything I'm waiting for VEMS to get back to me as if it's faulty it should still be under warranty.
  2. Just as a bit of an update I've now installed this sensor and getting values on a cold engine (left over night) of over 2v which works out at about 400C which obviously isn't right. any idea where I should be looking or have I missed something with the wiring?
  3. Don't the 185's use an AFM in the airbox and have the air temp sensor in there? I know the 205 have one in the manifold because i've just swapped it for a different sensor because it would heatsoak and never show a temp below 40C but i'm sure the 185's sensor isn't in the manifold
  4. Thanks, the idle target was 10 deg but i forgot to put it back when messing around so I can reset that no problem. The knock sensor is indeed a single wire Toyota unit and a new one is on my to do list but for now this is what I have to work with.
  5. Thanks for the replies, since this is my first time tuning I was doubting myself as it wasn't clear that these values could go below 1
  6. I'm finding when setting various things up the I'm using very small "Gain" values (all less than 1). Now everything seems to be working as it should be I just wanted to check i'm not missing something. i've attached a couple screenshots and a map just to highlight what I'm on about.
  7. It's working much better now, thanks. I still need to do some fine tuning with the decay, I'm assuming the aim is to get it back to target as quickly as possible?
  8. Thanks, I'll give that a try and let you know how I get on
  9. Thanks for the reply I've managed to figure it out, I wasn't expecting another switch to turn it on after i'd turned it on ha ha The next problem I'm having is stumbbling from idle. The accel enrich won't go any higher than 20 and no number i put in there seems to make a difference https://www.dropbox.com/s/iosy8s8rhrk0uhf/Idle stumbling logged.llgx?dl=0
  10. I've started setting up the fuelling on my Celicagt4 and got to the point where I wanted to turn knock control on. Tried to turn it on and it keeps saying "Disabled" in the runtime values. I've attached my map and have a video which I'll link showing the problem. Also at idle when blipping the throttle the car revs bog down, I've tried the accel enrichment but for some reason it would let me put anything above 20 Thanks in advance https://www.dropbox.com/s/v237aecu6ak6qvi/20200703_161002.mp4?dl=0
  11. Yeah I've rulled out the wiring and confirmed with a known good sensor. I'm getting a new one sent out
  12. I think I've solved the problem now thanks. It looks like one of the sensors was faulty out of the box. I managed to plug the suspect sensor into another connector earmarked for my fuel pressure sensor (not yet installed) and the fault jumped to that analoge input. Thanks for everyones help.
  13. With the ECU on and the engine not running the 2 pressure sensors I have installed are throwing up fault codes (an Volt X to ground) Without the engine running I understand why this can happen as the but is there a way to stop fault codes being logged?
  14. Thanks, like I said all inputs with nothing connected are hovering around 0.02 which I'm happy with. I just wanted to make sure they shouldn't be showing anything else and I should be looking for grounding problems
  15. Out of interest what values should I be expecting to see from the analogue inputs when no sensor is connected? Current all inputs with nothing connected are hovering around 0.02v.
  16. Great, thanks for the quick response
  17. would anyone be kind enough to show me what settings I should be programming in for these sensor (attached) Thanks David
  18. I used a "Pumkin" branded double din android 9 unit and it let me install realdash. I've only got my G4x ecu though so can't comment on if they'll talk together or not yet.
  19. Hi, I'm in interested in seeing how people have made a neet job of terminating their expanson looms on P&P ecu's and what connectors used.

  21. Loos like The intake manifold is where I need to ground to. Just when I thought I'd finished all my wiring and loomed everything up
  22. I'll check the wiring diagrams and see where it goes from the ecu
  23. Thanks, My car's earthing is wired as shown in my brilliant diagram attached. Would the best point still be the cylinder head or the point at whch all the grounds come together?
  24. Has anyone had any ecperience with these units? The power supply states 12v+ and ground and uses a DC barrel plug, What ground should be used for the unit, sensor ground? https://drive.google.com/file/d/1S79VSwt4LsVELBgBW-aCW3dJ9PFssLkT/view
  25. Thanks for that, I wasn't sure if it would cause problems mixing 12 & 5v stuff on the same ground so thanks for clearing it up for me.
