  1. Yes that should work fine. As the ECU connection should have no impact on the gauge readings
  2. Save your map as it is now. Up grade the ecu to 5.4.1 and load the WRX base map from the base maps folder in PCLink. Store and cycle the power. Then load your old map over the top. This should then have sensible figures for all the new functions and fuel trims. Â
  3. HI Adam The only drives that can high side drive are the Aux 5,6,7and8 The ignition drives will only give a polarity as in the active level is low or high. Rather than the ability to provide a 12V supply. On the expansion port if you have the G4+ then they should all be available. If you can see them in the PC link tuning software then they are available. Â
  4. The early versiond of G4+ software saved the files as .pcl the latest looks for a .pclr file extension. If you have an old file that is G4+ and is a .pcl if you rename the file to be a .pclr then it will open in the latest pclink. Alternatively if you are live with the ECU you will be able to open the old file and then resave as .pclrÂ
  5. Best to just measure it on the board. All you need is the 5V ground and Signal. I'm assuming its a plugin ECU you have. Â
  6. Hi Jesse Adam is on the money the crank cam and coils can all be used but you are best to replace the EDIS with a standard 2 channel ignitor. This way the ECU can control all the dwell and timing advance under all conditions. Â Â Â
  7. Damien has got it spot on. It will all come down to if the header and pinout match.
  8. Not in the out put but you should be able to change the dash to suit buy adding a multiplier to convert the signal.

    link display

CAN upgrade is free we just ask for the freight costs to be covered.
  10. Best place to find out all the info on CAN is to dive into the help file of the PCLink tuning software. What we can take in over CAN is limited but a Di type input is certainly an option.Â
  11. Hi Justin  We can add this to the wish list. So at some point it can be added in a firmware release.
  12. The Xtreme Black actually has 30 too its a typo on that one. Â Â

    NO MORE i88 OR Vi-PEC?

No argument there. We are working on a replacement web site currently that will supersede both the Link and Vi-pec sites.

    Ecu type

Is defiantly for a Nissan of some sort using the 360 opto type trigger. It would do the RB's and SR, CA range along with the V6 VG Tune will depend on what it came off.Â
  15. If you can post you MAP we can try it on the bench. This will check if it is a firmware related issue. The other option is to roll back the firmware and see if you still have an issue.
  16. Connect to the ECU then go to file and Save as. The saved file is the one we are after.
  17. Hi Nigel posting your MAP will be a start. I also assume the ECU has been tuned to suit the car? If not it could be as simple as the tune being out enough to cause the flat spot. Â
  18. If it is password locked it is not going to be easy as the settings are not visible. If you email the MAP we can test it on the bench to see the switching point. [email protected]
  19. You will need to find the AUX output that is set to engine fan. This could also be a free fuel or Ignition drive. Then click on this to see the settings for it.
  20. The loom will have 6 wires the Blue one is not used. So is normally cut off close to the sheathing. The rest should be connected.
  21. I suspect the ECU will be locking the triggers out due to one of the following. ECU hold power active Anti Theft active Duel ECU mode active Most likely is ECU hold power. If you have an AUX set up to switch a main relay you need to have a DI set and working correctly to indicate 12V from the key.
  22. The GP tables are used for all the functions that require a table but might not be used. Functions such as Knock control, Boost control would be the common examples. Take knock on a 8 cylinder application this could use 8 tables on its own if individual cylinder knock is used.
  23. Yep you really want to get the idle as good as possible with no corrections first.Â
  24. Some of the newer ones will likely turn it away. But most of the older guys will be able to still.
