  1. You will find it on the E46 m3: http://www.bmwtech.ru/wds/release/en/index.htm For wheelspeed just set up the Canbus with the "Mini" config that works on the E46 Mk60.
  2. The 328i is a M52 engine. Â It has different pin out vs the m50tu..
  3. In the glovebox compartment where the original ECU is, there is a small connector with 3 pins. The black wire on this is the tachometer, Just connect this to an Aux output. There is also a green wire which is 12v with key on. The last one (usually white, varies a bit) is for the MPG gauge /OBC.
  4. I have an i88 wire in. The reason why I asked is because I want to find info on the cars CAN bus. And it sends on many addresses. (steerning sensor; brake pressure; wheel speed; cruise control; clutch switch; engine rpm; engine temp ; oustide temp. etc) And the plan was to have a Motec LTC also. So it would be "nice to have" more channels. But a solution could be a "PnP" for another car. Which one has the most in/outputs and 2 can channels. Must also run a 6 cylinder sequential. and DBW.

  7. Hi. I have a G3 plus ECU that has an issue. Â The ECU worked fine utnil I loaded in a old map. From an earlier type firmware (1,5,1)I found out later. The ECU has 1,9,2. The map loaded in with a few messages popping up, Check limiters etc. Â But when I powerd the Ecu off and on again it went into boot mode. Â I tried reloading the firmware but got this message in the end: ERROR: Failed to configure main code startup. Tried to load the firmware many many (20+) times and finaly it went OK. Â Got online on the ECU, but when I turned the power off/on again it was straight into boot mode again. Â Reloaded the firmware a bunch more times and got it OK again. Went online and loaded in a new map and saved. Â But the same thing when I power it off/on... what is going on here??????
  8. Hi. Have you tried the 'ignition test' option to verify that the MSD is working? You can also test the MSD by just grounding the trigger wire on them. (disconnect from the Link Ecu first).
  9. Okay thanks. I had a feeling it was user error, I am pretty new to CAN bus setup. I was so hung up on the Frames, that I did not try the obvious thing to add another parameter.. I thought it was one frame for each parameter, so thanks for the info. . Will do some more testing when I get home again.
  10. I am setting up a BMW e46 instrument panel through the Can bus. I get the RPM, temp and several warning lights to work (cruise, EML, engine light and high temp). ( FYI: the RPM and temp work with the Mini mode also) Cruise, EML and engine light is on the same ID 1349, and in the same byte 0. But use different bits of course. If I make 1 "frame" and test them 1 at a time they work. But If I add a second "frame" on the user stream for a second light there are problems. It seems like frame 2 takes priority because this show 95% of the time but there is sometimes some rapid flicking of the first lamp also. They never light togheter it is just one at a time, but it is very rapid. Is this me using it wrong or is there a firmware error???

  12. The sensor works on input voltage between 4.5-24 Vdc.
  13. If you wire it to Aux 1 and select "ISC slave" it should be opposite.
  14. There will be a new series called i44 and i88. So I guess the V`s will suffer the same fate.

  17. How do I upgrade the firmware on the Displaylink? Mine has an old firmeware so the G4 is not in the menu. Â And where do I download it?

  19. Is it possible to use the Evolink G3 as a wire in another brand car?  Is this basicaly a Linkplus G3 with different pin out? Do you have the pinout for the Evolink?
