  1. Thanks, I'm aware of this issue, it is marked as high priority and I've been working on a solution.
  2. Thanks Ducie. I've added this to the firmware list to get looked at.
  3. Thanks for letting us know Andi, I'm sorry it has been so difficult for this to get done. Like I said, occasionally we see PCLink installed to the wrong place and that is a very simple fix. I think that for some reason the 4 machines you tried happened to have the same security setting on those folders and for whatever reason wont let them go. I was able to replicate the fault here at Link by locking the folders, then unlocking them fixed the issue.
  4. Only if it does not work normally.
  5. Ok, now: Click Add.Click "Select a Principle"Type your username Verdana? , click check names, it should change to "SATELLITE\Verdana", press ok.Select "Full Control"Press OkClick Add.Click "Select a Principle"Type administrator, click check names, it should change to "SATELLITE\Administrator", press ok.Select "Full Control"Press OkPress Ok againPress Ok again
  6. Good morning everybody, Last night we released a new PCLink and Firmware, I updated this thread but it didn't stick (weird eh?) Thanks for your patience with the 5.6.2 to 5.6.5 update-requiring-ECU unlock bug. Thanks Davidv for his work around. I'll leave these notes attached because they're still quite relevant to this release: As always, here's how to update your firmware the best way:
  7. Andi you still haven't done this bit yet
  8. Not being able to save the config file is a clear sign that it's a permissions issue. Andi, did you have a look in the Firmware folder for the tempqw file?
  9. Damn. I was sure that would take care of it. When you close PCLink, do you get a window that pops up and says "Abnormal Program Termination"? Can you go to the firmware folder, if the tempqw file is there, can you delete it and try again? If that doesn't work can you do what you did earlier: Go to C:\Link G4\PCLink G4 and right mouse click on "Firmware", go properties.Open the Security tab, click on 'Advanced'.Take a screenshot of the window that opens and post it here or email it to tech support.
  10. Ok, try this. Click "Change" next to Owner, type "administrators" then click "Check Names", it should change to something like "SATELLITE\Administrators", press Ok.Under Owners you should now see "Replace owner on subcontainers..etc.." check this.Press Apply.Click on "Disable Inheritance", when prompted tell it to remove all inherited permissions from this object.Press ApplyClick Add.Click "Select a Principle"Type your username Verdana? , click check names, it should change to "SATELLITE\Verdana", press ok.Select "Full Control"Press OkPress Ok againPress Ok againTry that. What we've done is taken total control over the folder Link G4 and all the folders and files inside it, including the Firmware folder. Let me know how you get on.
  11. Windows allows you to install programs to non read/write/execute locations, then when you try to run them they fall over. We see this a lot with people who install PCLink to Program Files thinking they know better than we do. You may copy and paste things in, around and out of Program Files, but programs are not allowed to read write here. For this reason I think this is still a simple permissions setting that these four machines happen to have set, I still have some investigation to do. Andi, please: go to C:\ and right mouse click on "Link G4", go properties.Open the Security tab, click on 'Advanced'.Take a screenshot of the window that opens and post it here or email it to tech support.
  12. The problem is that you don't have read/write access to that folder. Did you copy the Link G4 folder and paste it to C:\?
  13. Hi guys, so I've just put up a new release of PCLink and the firmware. Thanks for your patience with this one You can grab it from here: http://www.linkecu.com/software-support/pc-link-downloads/ As always, here's how to update your firmware the best way: If you have any questions or issues please post them in this thread.

    Table Allocation

If you go to your Auxiliary Outputs on the Fury sample you'll see Aux 1 and Aux 2 are set to VVT Cam Solenoid, turning these to OFF should allow those tables to be reallocated. Tables aren't allocated until VVT is turned on and there is a VVT Cam Solenoid pin assigned. Therefore tables aren't 'deallocated' until VVT is turned off, and the pin is unassigned. Hope this helps!

    Table Allocation

dvsu12 - are you saying you've turned off VVT and the VVT tables haven't disappeared from the table allocation list?
  16. You can zoom with the mouse scroll function. If you don't have a full scale mouse attached to your laptop, most laptops have a scroll fucntion built into the mouse pad. This is usually a bar on the right hand side of the mouse pad, on mac you use a two finger gesture. Sorry I was unable to make this a keyboard shortcut.
  17. Lambda xxx parameters have been renamed to just Lambda xxx as can be written to by external module.·Under some conditions during fuel cut limiting short injector pulses of 0.2ms could occur. This would only cause issues on GDI type injectors.·Maximum MAP Limit has been increased from 500 kPa to 1000 kPa.·Differential fuel pressure now calculates with 1 kPa resolution instead of 5 kPa and the range is extended.·Increased the amount of ignition retard allowed in speed limit for pit lane speed control.·Added Lambda 3-8 to Lambda Average.Fixes ·Lambda Average did not include analog Lambda 1 at times.·Plug-ins now show tables 21 - 30.·Changed VVT solenoid control to become active when engine started, previously waited until speed lockout reached.·Exclude internal Lambda from Lambda Average when status is not "operating".·ECT Ign Trim parameter would flicker between the table number and zero when the engine was stalled.·Inconsistent display of data from Trigger Scope on Thunder ECUs.·FP Speed (%DC) has been changed to a numerical parameter to display actual fuel pump control duty cycle.·Fixed support processor firmware update not completing correctly on Thunder ECUs some time.·MAP Limit did not change its units, was always in kPa.·Changed Holden V6 Alloytec II VVTi trigger first sync to reduce errors.·Fix idle speed control RPM lockout sometimes not being applied correctly.·Fixed Nissan VQ30 triggers occasionally missing the sync point.PCLink Version Information: Version 5.x.x.3098 (DLL Rev 3070) - 10-06-16 New Features ·Added support for Force GDI. 18. Apparently these allow you to transfer data and charge the device at the same time http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00C452XFO?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s01

    New firmware

Sure did! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VQxJna9_2wI You'll be most interested in "Update Firmware Compare" that starts around the 1:42 mark.
  20. To start investigating this issue I need the surface view and the help>about window in the same screenshot.
  21. Oh yeah, I forgot all about this post, sorry. I don't have anything to post right now, but the real tool in visio is the drawing explorer, it took me ages to find it and turn it on. https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Edit-your-drawing-in-the-Drawing-Explorer-window-298c7c17-7d6e-4a82-9a7f-fdc32910b59b https://support.office.com/en-gb/article/Edit-your-drawing-using-the-Drawing-Explorer-window-81502ef3-6cac-423e-b4f1-1c19a5126e70 From the drawing explorer you can add wire colours with stripes etc Here's the guide I followed/copied: http://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/28215753/Multi-color-line-in-Visio-2010.html
  22. This may very well be related to what I fixed, I'll take another look and see if anything jumps out. Cheers I'm preparing a video that covers how to work with the new graphic view. Can you post a screenshot of your graphic view and a screenshot of your Help>About window too please? Hey Jim, yeah this is a PCLink bug, so it'll show up in all basemaps while you're offline.
  23. I've also fixed the 2nd issue, again pending testing it should be in the English/Japanese release in a few days.
