ray1395
Hi, I have recently bought a Bank's power iDash 1.8 to run in my gc8, which has Link g4+ plug in ecu. The manual they sent does not have information about how to setup in the link software. Anyone knows how to configure it? I also have a link Can lambda at channel 1, not sure if this makes any differences. Appreciate any guidance. Thanks, Ray
Slowgti
Does it plug into the obd2 plug?
ray1395
i chose the Link G4+ ECU option when purchase, so it comes with CAN H and L wires, white and green. I have connected to CAN1, but cannot find any can device when search for it. The following is wiring instruction from Banks: what is comms 3 and 4? Simon
The find CAN device only works for the Link CAN Lambda modules currently. It will not find other 3rd party devices.
HRK
I use a perfect tuning universal gauge connected to CANIn that case, CAN Setup is as follows.CAN ConfigurationCAN 2Mode: User DefinedBit Rate: 1Mbit / s DataMode: Transmit Generic DashTransmit Rate: 20HzCAN ID: 1000Format: NormalBit rate, transmit rate and CAN ID must match the meter and settingsThe settings may not match because the meter is differentI hope to succeed
Adamw
Their manual says "If you are using the iDash 1.8 with an aftermarket ECU, reference iDash 1.8 aftermarket ECU setup, Owners Manual 97670 for more details", I can not find that manual on their website so you may want to ask them. If I were to hazard a guess, I would say they most likely expect the Link to be set to transmit generic dash on ID 1000 as most other 3rd party devices do. Ray forwarded me an email from Banks, this is the case, Generic Dash, ID 1000, 20 Hz, 1 Mbit/s
