ThatSupraGuy
Hi guys, not sure if it's normal or not but should the fuel pump always run even when the engine isnt? I've looked in the ecu setting for fuel pump prime time and it says 3 seconds but it just continually runs when key is on and engines not running. Thanks
Adamw
What car/ecu do you have? Im guessing from the username perhaps a supra plug-in?

Brad Burnett
have you tried changing polarity of the aux channel that is set to fuel pump? Also, at some point in the past has your car had the fuel pump controller bypassed?
Samurai Supra
Is the stock fuel pump ecu still in place? Have you loaded the Link Base map? If so, the fuel pump control is set to General Xover. Change it to 80hz 33/66/100%DC. To use this, the Aux output to the fuel pump should be set to FP speed. This is three stage PWM control which according to the help file is the correct setting for the Supra. I had the same issue on my Supralink, the above solved it. Yes the stock fuel pump ecu is still there Yes the base map was loaded but this is a +t so had to change a few things. The fuel pump control is set to off and it was tuned that way. Changing it to 80hz 33/66/100%DC will it need to be retuned?
Samurai Supra
Not 100% sure. My guess is as long as there is enough fuel pressure to not run the engine lean at the lower duty cycle, it should be fine. I would check it anyway to be sure. Maybe some more experienced mappers can comment?
Adamw
It is unlikely to affect the tune as you usually switch to full speed much earlier than needed. Mostly it is used just to make the pump quieter at idle and cruise. Try something like this:
ThatSupraGuy
Didn't work changing to 80hz 33/66/100%DC. Made it idle super lean and very hard to start
Adamw
Do you hear the fuel pump prime when you turn the key on? You might have to swap the polarity setting on Aux 2.
