JAB Posted January 5, 2021 Report Share Posted January 5, 2021 Hey there, I am trying wire in direct spark to an evo 1-3 G4x board. I have the expansion loom available. Going off what the manual says it hints that I will need to move pin 33 and pin 38 to the expansion loom, then wire in the new coil to pin 33 and pin 38. If I do that wont I lose ECU power? I have another ecu manufacturers wideband and controller which I heard is compatible with Link. Do I use the rs*** can 1 or the odb can 2? Confused Posted January 5, 2021 Report Share Posted January 5, 2021 Either your controller has CANBUS output, which connects to the Link's CANBUS, or it has a 0-5v analog output which connects to any spare Analog input. Adamw Posted January 5, 2021 Report Share Posted January 5, 2021 Provided your WB1 has at least 2.03 firmware in it then it will communicate with the Link ECU with the same set up as the Link CAN lambda. If yours is running older firmware then you will either need to get someone with a haltech ECU to connect it up and do a firmware update. You can use either CAN port.
