kika747
hey guys just been tuning plenty vl turbos with the link vl plug in Ecu with great success I am currently in the process of changing fuels to e85 and would like to know how to do this.the car is currently tuned on 98pulp and is making 220rwkw atw and is automatic now would I change my injector deadtimes and retune the whole fuel map or would I add fuel with the fuel main and leave the deadtimes the way they are for e85 any help much appreciated davidbek95
Adamw
Deadtimes shouldnt need changing. If your present tune is using the traditional fuel equation then I would start by increasing the master fuel number by about 35%. Change the stoichiometric ratio setting to 9.7. You will then need to retune the main fuel and ignition tables. Most likely all the cold start/warmup enrichment tables will need tweaking too. kika747
would this process be the same for modelled fuel or would you then need to have the dead times adjusted
Simon
Yes the dead times would not need adjusting in either mode. The injector flow figures would need to be set for E85 as it will be different to petrol.
