  1. Hi, i am having problems making the rpm limit shot flames and loud bangs. I have tried all the combination you can imagine, +4D fuel table to dumb extra fuel. 

    So here is my current settings :

    I have tried Start TP low high different values. I have tried limit ignition trim up to -20deg. And still nothing. Can anybody help me? 

    AFR recorded at RPM LIMIT was 10.26 which is the maximum i can get(Duty cycle 100%-720cc injectors...)

  2. I am guessing ,the main problem is i can't seperate knock from engine noise ,hydraulic lifters make a lot of noise i try seperating them from the actual knock but nothing sometimes it picks sometimes it doesnt.

    Are you familiar with plex units? 

     

  3. Hello there, here is my timing map i am running on LINK ECU. Having an external knock control (plex monitor).

    The problem is that sometimes picks up knock and i don't know if it is actually knocking

    And here is the theoretical timing i made with calculations. Thermodynamics and Internal combustion engine.

    The theoretical looks correct for me but i haven't try it yet. What should i do?

  4. So engine is a built 4G93T no cams.

    1.8L stroker to 2.0L

    Fuel : RON 98

    AIR TEMP :20 CELCIUS

    Maximum boost 1.5bar or 150kpa absolute pressure ,250kpa from vaccum.

    IGNITION AT 7200rpm 1.5bar is 7 degrees.

    The vehicle at peak torque having 7-9 degrees advance ign vs the vehicle at peak torque 4-5 degrees at 4000-5500rpm feels like with less timing it has much much more torque and is dramaticaly noticed.The ignition is correctly locked so no offset.Why is this happening will attend to fine tune on a dyno so i am asking just to know whats going on right there.Is it possible to reach MBT with this type of fuel? The a/f is 11.5 after 1 bar. 

  5. Okay so here's another problem i've come to. Rev limit is set to 7200 rpm with limit control range 200rpm. When hit the rev limit it activates and then it is still ACTIVE ON until the rpm drops to 4611rpm.
    What could it be?

    Also the launch control does not build enough boost (max 0,5 bar) retard is degrees absolute -35. Launching the car from 4000 rpm and it stalls.(AWD mitsubishi lancer 4g93 turbo 1.5 bar)

    So its about time to throw away my earbuds i used them with the plex knock monitor and i will be buying a set of  BEYERDYNAMIC Studio DT 770 PRO 

    Will they work? They where made for studio mixing etc.

  7. Alright.So the combustion chamber design is close to the chamber of an 4g63? Just to known if the timing should be close with an 4g63 i did ,so i can continue to achieve more torque.

    Also the knock sensor is next to the drive shaft on the block and picks noise from the hydraulics i did everything and still can't clear the knock from the hydraulics Is there elsewhere to put it?

  8. Hello everyone, i recently tuned a friend's car.

    4g93Turbo 

    Hks turbo,sard 720cc ,stroker kit to 2.0L ,wiseco pistons,eagle rods,aem 255 fuel pump,98octane ect.

    So my problem is that the vehicles hydraulics make a lot of noise and i cant seperate the background noise with the actual knock.It runs 1.5 bar boost and maximum ign is 6 deg bTDC (7200rpm).is it low?First time tuning this type of engine and am not familiar what are the capabilities.

    Does anyone have any experience with this type of engines? Could you tell me some info about the ign timing.
