Rozsko reacted to Vaughan in PCLink 6.18.20 and Firmware 6.18.8 Released!
This was spotted fairly quickly and a new version was put up with a fix (6.18.32), another version with language support (6.18.44) has also been put up since that so grab the latest PCLink and firmware please and let me know if it's still a problem.
    Thanks

Would like to have more gp protection rpm limits tables. Not only rpm limit but also warnings under conditions.warning pop up on dash .

This will be fixed in the next release

    I second that

It has just kissed your MAP limit, probably not for long enough to be captured in the 40Hz PC log.  Your MAP limit was set at 310Kpa, and MAP just touches 300.0Kpa at that point, the default MAP limit control range is 10KPa, so that means it will start to limit 10Kpa before the set limit.

Thank you guys. The error did not come back yet, but it won't come back in the near future either as I just blew up my turbo.

That error is not showing in any of your logs, so it must have happened later.  I dont see any obvious reason for it, E-throttle duty cycle looks pretty low in all of these logs so it shouldnt be getting hot.
We did have a problem in early firmware that we thought we had prevented from happening - this would raise the error flag during power down as the E-throttle IC loses power first.  So possibly this can still occur under certain conditions.
Can you clear the code and make a point of checking the the CE light is off before turning ign off each time you drive.  Then if CE light is flashing on your next start up we can conclude it is still happening on power down and will take a closer look at our last fix.

I occasionally get it when the throttle has to move very far very fast

I've also just increased the range in which the gear ratio is considered stable so the automatic calibration of gear ratio should work better in the next release.

Yes, but you will need a whole lot more energy than a heat gun.  It not only needs to heat all the air, but the whole intake system, pipework, and anything else before the air temp sensor.  You also want quite a noticable change in air temp - at least 5 deg, preferably 10.  Blocking the intercooler airflow on a turbo car usually works or ducting hot air from exhaust or radiator into the airbox on a NA car is needed.

When the clutch is disengaged there is no longer a fixed relationship between RPM & speed, so the gear cant be calculated.

I would agree with Vaughan's comment, from the extra noise you have on the lambda trace it suggests you have a misfire or at least 1 cylinder with very poor combustion.
It is definitely not due to an increase in torque or efficiency - probably quite the opposite.

If the idle got rougher and it is showing a leaner afr it seems reasonably likely that it is missing which causes a leaner afr (sensor measures how much unburnt oxygen there is).

just checked again and yeah, that seems to be right. Though I swear yesterday I checked it was showing all options for all GP outputs without assigning a pin.
    Thank you

It seems to work ok for me.  Are you doing this online or offline?  If offline, is the map you are working with from an ecu with the latest firmware?

GP Outputs and GP PWM Outputs don't display the rest of the settings until an output is selected. Do you have a screenshot of a GP Output with an output set but no settings showing?
  20. Thanks

im not 100% sure what this means, but there is a note in our system that reads something like "Flipped WRX10 inputs & outputs around to match bank numbers", So it was possibly just they had it set up with bank 1 on the wrong side of the engine.

The built-in analog cal table for the AEM was wrong, if yours is connected via CAN it wouldnt have an affect.  If yours is connected by analog input then the ecu would have displayed lambda a bit leaner than actual at the rich end of the scale.

Thanks for that.  I will get it reported.  The firmware engineer was nervous about breaking something there, apparently there where huge changes to the way those lists work to speed up the connection and search.  I dont personally use the ecu settings search much, but tested it over a couple of weeks of day to day use and never stumbled on to this issue.  I obviously didnt try every letter of the alphabet...

It was on the 2.5L engine only, the cam wouldn't swing it's full length.

Freezing is generally a comms drop out, often caused by extreme electrical noise.  Do you have resistor spark plugs fitted?  There are some changes to comms in the next software release which is coming soon that may help it recover quicker when comms is lost.

I think the engineers have got to the bottom of that now, they found some laptops would put the graphics cards into low power mode whenever not connected to AC power which made everything feel very slow.  In the next release they have taken a lot of load away from the graphics card so you should see a big improvement.

Rozsko reacted to Adamw in Modelled fuel - charge temp table - idle mixture leans out as IAT climbs
No, with charge temp approximation biased more towards air temp the ecu thinks the charge temp is varying more than it really is so it applies more compensation.  ECT is more stable so you need to bias more towards that so it gets less variation in the compensation applied.  You have to retune the VE table everytime you change the charge temp approximation.

You need to bias it more towards water temp at idle as the air is moving through the port slowly it picks up more heat from the hot manifold and water jacket.  Typically charge temp approximation numbers will be up around 70-90% at idle.

You can see the E-throttle target is stable, but your TP is bouncing around a lot, this means your E-throttle PID needs work (not idle PID).

I suspect due to the throttle bouncing around as above, the throttle stablises a little when the fan is on so MAP is much more stable and therefore PW is more stable.  The unstable TP is also causing a little bit of accel enrichment to kick in.
  25. Thanks

OBD2 hasnt been implemented in the G4X yet sorry, it is being worked on.
For your dialog problem, I suspect it is the windows display scaling, it needs to be set to 100% for PC Link to function correctly.
