VtrSp1 got a reaction from tbase in Paddle Shift
    @tbase
from my experience in this situation is better cut 100% ignition and use a soft retard for the torque reintroducing.
With the G4X use the log for the Gear position sensor at 500 Hz , this can help to see if the barrell rotation is sweet or stuck in any point. With the G4+ and 100hz log for example the barrell rotation look sweet but upgraded to G4X and use it at 500Hz it show the barrell stuck at the end of rotation and this help me to figure out a wear on a gear dog.
Don't try to reach a fast gearshift time, the goal is gearshift without wear  so the best time gearshift in that moment!

So the rear speeds never spike?  I would say most likely the GT101 is not happy with its target, they can be pretty fussy with target shape, size, squareness etc.
You could try a ZF GS101202 or GS101201 or a Littelfuse 55505 in its place, these are direct replacements for the GT101 and are generally faster and less fussy.

VtrSp1 got a reaction from k fuku in LinkEcu Subaru GR B Hatchback EJ25
@Adamw my customer is interested in a Linkecu Upgrade for the Subaru GR B (Chassis Hatchback) with EJ25 engine.
I search on the website and i don't find the plugin for this car model, the WRX107X ecu don't support the GR Hatchback in the note at the end of page.. why? The trigger pattern isn't recognized by the ecu or there is a Can line in this chassis?
Alternatively, I can do a wirein installation with a G4X Xtreme .. Do I need to modify the camshaft trigger?? This engine have the VVT at the intake and Exhaust camshaft, so 4 VVT ..it's possible to do on a Xtreme?

We are working on a proper motorsport level paddleshift strategy at the moment.  It is not too far away, we have most of the basic functionality working and tested on the dyno only, but I would consider it at alpha level, not beta yet - still a few things we are changing around and testing what works and doesnt work.  Cant make any promises as to final release date yet, but it is one of my main focuses at the moment and we are making good progress.  The whole gearshift system (including normal manual shift) has been completely reworked and is quite complex so I would not be prepared to share a beta until it is closer to the final product has had much more internal testing.

VtrSp1 got a reaction from tbase in Gear Shift Cut Period
Yes the Cut period have a wrong label, it's max shift time.
@Adamw The Gear lever force look same  as my setup with G4X and log at 1000 Hz..
Only  in the G4+ with 100 Hz Log i have the M shape gear lever force...
The cut start at 30 Nm of gear lever force, a little before the barrell start moving so there isn't a really dog preload.
Probably with a dog preload the shape is a M style but a few test in the track the report from the driver is the lever feel smooth and  soft without the preload on the dog. Looking a log from the G4+ , i have the M shape without dog preload (the cut start before the barrell moving).
i compare a few log from same FWD car Quaife Gearbox with lever loadcell knob, about similar setup. Only with g4+ with 100 hz log i have the M shape.
another possibility is that the M shape is due to the lever mechanism system. In fact in the two examples I have shown the only difference is the gear lever. With the G4x I have the Quaife V1 lever while with the g4 + I have the quaife V2 lever
    As about the upshift speed
On FWD car i see time from 95ms to 75 mS
On RWD car i see time lower to 60 mS on high gear

This is one of my setup w ith g4x..

VtrSp1 got a reaction from tbase in G4+ Fury Sequential shift cut
I have a G4+ Fury installed in my race car with sequential gearbox.
The ecu is awesome and all work very good. I need only a few clarification about the Sequential Shift Parameters/setting .
As i mentioned before, i use the ecu to do the Shift cut for my Sequential Gearbox in Closed loop mode with Loadcell Knob and Gearposition sensor with Ignition cut % set at 90% and a Ignition Reatard at -15° for reintroducing torque strategy at 20 mS. In the Last weekend i tested them on track and when i do the Upshift strategy i have a big bang in the exhaust . it's normal because i cut the ignition at 90% and the rest 10% is retarded at -15°. I set the retard to -15° because i feel the shift lever smooth than a -10° retard.
I have try to set the Fuel trim shift cut to a negative value to reduce the fuel amount in the shift cut but it's not possible to insert a negative value.
How i can remove fuel in the shiftcut strategy to reduce the bang in the exhaust?
In the log i take a look at Gear Parameters and when the barrell move, the Gear number go to 0 for a little moment during shifting. My Gear tollerance is set to 0.1V because i want the shift cut quite safe.
If the Gear tollerance is low value, the power re-engage is safe for a full dog engage vs a high gear tollerance number?
