  1. It could be that the sync signal is now happening close to a crank tooth. If the Sync pulse is on top of a crank signal then you can get trigger errors.
  2. I would be getting the laptop connected to the ECU and cranking the engine over. We need to see if there is any engine RPM while cranking. I suspect the cam might have jumped a tooth or two which would cause the ECU to not pick up RPM. This could cause the fuel pump to not start.
  3. Hi Jeff This has been an issue we have seen in the past but have not been able to find a cause for it. From memory it was related to the dash cluster and it seemed to only show on 1 in 50 installs. A fix was never found on the G1 units. The later units added a pulse width adjustment to adjust the width of the pulse which was not able to be done on the G1'. I have not heard of any issues with the G4's to date.
  4. A 2R2 50W resistor per injector will be about right for those injectors as they require a bit more than normal to get them open. Â
  5. Hi Our information still indicates that a rising edge should be used. However if falling needs to be used to remove trigger errors there is no harm in that. We would be interested to know if this is the case for you also.
  6. The 4 Bar does in a black colour. The 3 BAR is the OEM GM package.
  7. If you have the Storm based plugin then this input is not available. The later Xtreme based units do have this available and will show in with the other AN volt inputs. I can check this from a serial number if you have it handy.
  8. If there is a 60-2 or a 36-1 option that bolts up from say a later version engine then theses would be the go. However if you were needing to fabricate a trigger then I would go to a 24-1 as this will be easier to make and gives plenty of resolution.

    Can't Post

You will now be able to post in the main forum.
  10. You would have to ask it to save the file. If you connect and then go to file save as.
  11. With multi tooth up to a point we are using every tooth to update the position / RPM If it is a very high tooth count such as some BMWs or Porsche applications (more than 60 teeth)Â We then start dividing the tooth count down to a more manageable count.
  12. Hi Niclas I suspect the RPM reading is locked out due to ECU hold power being active. When you put the key on check in the runtimes menu that the ECU hold power is not active.
  13. The upgrade can be done yourself the PDF attached out lines what is involved.

    Link Atom

I would start with the pre loaded map. Change the fuel and ignition tables to be spanned off TPS Configure the triggers, check the ignition timing. Calibrate the TPS Start with a low master fuel figure 6ms should be ok increase if required.
  15. Next will be to see what the WG duty cycle is doing. If its at a high % then it is trying to make lots of boost. If it is low then it is trying to keep the boost low. If you were to post your PCL file that would also help Dave or myself see what is happening.
  16. You can set an input as Input shaft and one as output shaft. This will let you log the two parameters but would have to manually calculate the slip% Make sure you are working with the latest PC link and firmware.

    I88 plugin

You can do the upgrades at any time, I would suggest talking with the tuner to see what ones you might want.

    g4 storm ecu

Yep that is an option that is often used.
  19. Correct, the CAN upgrade will allow both to be connected at the same time.

    I88 plugin

Hi Nick Yep its G4+ only now but the hardware is identical to the i88 based units. If you choose all the upgrades it will be same firmware spec as the i88. It will still require the factory case.
  21. If you set the dash to Link G4 for the ECU type and lower the ECU Baud rate to 57600 you will be able to get it working over serial.
  22. The G3 Plus map will be a good starting point but you will have to check the configuration of the inputs and outputs are correct. As the G2 is a wirein unit so could have been wired in any number of ways.
  23. There is also a LED on the board that will light when the ECU is powered up.

    VVT & RPM output

You will of course need to confirm that the configuration matches how the unit has been wired. Pinout info can be found in the wiring section of the help file in PC link.

    g4 storm ecu

Yep pins are available. In any quantity. You will need a switch wired to a Di, Antilag will need to be conditional on this input and you will need an air bypass to allow extra air through the engine. Â
