RB20 one wont be to bad to start form.
You wont be able to put it stright in to the ECU though as it will be geared for a G4 plugin.
However the numbers will work if manually entered in to the G3.
Air temp won't make too much difference but I would trailer if its had no tuning done.

You need to use a 4D or 5d table and span the table on Ethanol % and Ethanol Temp
This table then is always on and works as a correction on the main map.

There is some chance the ECU has been upset with the uncompleted firmware upgrade.
I would try powering the ECU on the bench and running the up date again.
If this fails we will likely have get the unit back.

This is a proplem we know about fixed in 4.8.5 (ill have to check when I get back in to work)
It is purely a display issue and does not effect the map being used.

Main thing to remember it is a VE correction table.
Numbers will increase working down the table (increasing MAP) and will tend to stay relativly flat across the table.

Think using the speed input is about the only option. To set the calibration number best option would be to adjust to match another measuring device.

You need to go into axis setup and then remove or add using the inset or delet keys.
To get to axis set up right click in a table or press X

If connecting with can all you will require is the dash to be compatiable with our ECU. You can then configure the ECU for CAN and connect CAN H adn CAN L wiring to the dash.
Load the generic dash file when setting CAN up through PC Link.

Currently ther is no option for a GPS input. However the ECU can interface with many logging devices for track logging.
The reference points are manually entered from information from track timing or stopwatch.Â

Not so much. If you have spare AN Volt channels then you could log 0-5V signals. Most guys will do this sort of logging though a dash or dedicated logger.

You will have to get the pickup on to the coil negative wire.

What you have is a early LEM G1 it is for a distributor application the manual can be downloaded from here

This is for a V3 but is very similar.Â

One option is to get the tacho modified to suit an ECU signal. Or there are devices for combining coil negative signals.

Seem to be missing some info in the post.
What device are you using to connect, Serial Link, ComLink, USBLink?

When the line isn't green it means the data isn't available (not logged) Do you have it available in any of the other logging display options?

It seems to very from PC to PC. It is on the low side but is fine.

One thing to check when doing the firmware upgrade is that the VTS software is not set to auto connect. This can some times upset the firmware update.
Also if running a display on the can/serial port make sure the cable is unpluged at the ECU, when doing the up grade.

This is an option that we are considering expanding and have to a limited extent.
Currently the motec e888 can be used for additional inputs but the outputs are not supported.

I don't recall having seen an email with this issue. Unless it came in late friday. (We are on holiday today...labour day in NZ)
I assume you have a nissan plug in ECU? And the eccs relay is staying held on?
No problems to fix however if this is the 3 time I would say there is someting not normal happening on the car. The drive that controls the relay is rated well in excess of what would be needed for this function.

It will need tuning to sort out how much timing / fuel needs to be adjusted based on ethanol content.
