tiago Posted March 12, 2020 Report Share Posted March 12, 2020 Hey guys, after less than a year the o2 sensor that came with the AEM 40-4110 stopped to work properly. Doing some research I discovered that most likely it was because I had it wired on the ignition on and when the car is not running the sensor heater was always on and it could shorter the sensor lifetime. To avoid this problem on the future I found 2 options: 1) Using the Link Can that has the power to manager it; 2) Wiring a relay on a GP Output to power the sensor only after the engine is running; I ended picking the AEM X 30-0300 to use it over can. The choice of the AEM X instead of the Link CAN is due the price (Link is almost 2 times more expensive in my region) + couple of weeks until it arrives here. Confused Posted March 12, 2020 Report Share Posted March 12, 2020 I've killed a couple of sensors (with different controllers) because of the same - ignition on, engine off, then starting the engine. The other condition you could use instead of RPM is something like Engine running time > 30s, that may help get a little more of the condensation out of the way before powering up. AEWON Posted April 11, 2020 Report Share Posted April 11, 2020 Hi all, just a question on this, attempted to set this same Logic up on Ign 5 Aux Output on S13 plugin running latest firmware and PC link software and it does not allow me to set the polarity?
