Adamw Posted February 10, 2019 Report Share Posted February 10, 2019 I dont know these engines well enough to know how much is involved mechanically, but from an electronic perspective, the later 36-2-2-2 is going to give you less timing drift during transients. Simon Posted February 11, 2019 Report Share Posted February 11, 2019 Benefit would be if you were going to the VVT heads then moving to the later wheels would be a must. Timing accuracy would be improved a smidge but I don't think it would be noticeable. In either case no worries to retain the wasted spark setup.
