Hi, I am Chris an old school JDM car fan, i have a Impreza GC8 race car and imported cars back in 2005~2008, have done quite a bit of tuning with other systems, so understand all the basics, look forward to mapping and setting up my new Link G4X.
I read up quite a bit on this forum before opting for link and it has some great users that are helping the online community, brilliant resource!

SkyEyes reacted to Adamw in Accel enrichment too sensitive?
If accel enrichment is set to TPS mode it is triggered by TPS delta (i.e how fast the throttle is moving).  Your TPS Delta at idle is upto around 19 so set your deadband somewhere above this.
Note this is unusually high (more typically less that 1% delta at idle), it may suggest there is no cable free play, or throttle is not sitting on the stop, or there is a bad ground or similar.  But increasing the deadband to more than 19% will fix the immediate problem.

Just recently got it back up and running on a Monsoon-X!
It was my first time building an entire harness and getting everything set-up with minimal help. It has been a great experience so far, and the car is already running better than on its previous standalone!
Can’t say enough about the support offered here by both staff and other members. Hope to keep on learning!

I drove my car today for the first time after changing over to my Link Monsoon-X. I was amazed at how, even in the rudimentary initial tune and tables, it already behaved significantly better than my previous standalone set-up (especially on part throttle driveability).

I look forward to getting the system further dialed in, but so far it was worth every single penny.

Also the Link support here is fantastic, thanks!

Changing Ignition Mode re-initialises a heap of functions in the ECU, this is done because so many things depend on the Ignition Mode being used.

Yep that is normal.  I havent asked anyone to get an explanation direct from the horses mouth, but based on my very crude understanding my guess would be when changing the ignition mode the processosor that does all the degrees based engine processing (eTPU) does some kind of re-initialise and the tacho sweep is probably run as part of its initialisation sequence.

Most of the time the ECU will control a relay that feeds the fuel pump.
You will get +12V going to the relay and then the relay to a aux output that will provide a ground a the right time.

You can also control your pump with a pwm signal depending on the model

It is possible to run the ecu and engine without the ecu having any control of the pump.  You do lose the option to prime and control when the pump is on obviously.  At the most basic level, the ecu will do things if it sees trigger signal inputs that the engine is turning and that matches up with the trigger input settings in the ecu.  It does not necessarily require more than that to operate injectors and ignition components.
