Angelo/E30M3-M50B28T-E36+
Hi guys, Hope you are all safe i am trying to setup my rpm limit and als an launch on my M50b29 Turbo engine is capable of 600-900hp running on normal fuel at the moment with three modes 0.8bar/1.3bar/1.8bar ill go into each issue on its own, if anyone can help me set it up i attached my file (i made the tune from scratch so anyone wanting to copy anything from it i do not suggest that cz u might blow up ur engine) -Rpm Limit: the way it is setup now the rpm limit sounds fast while stationary , but the issue is when im driving and i hit rpm limit i don't know if i reached it cz the rpm holds steady at the limit but the engine sounds normal without any noticable cuts or bangs or anything so its very confusing for me to know when i reach rpm limit how i prefer it is like a small bangs that won't make me lose lots of power and stall and keeps the engine reving up and banging so i can notice it -Antilag : the way it is now when i lift my foot off from a full throttle it will bang maybe once or twice loud bangs and sometimes quiet bangs but in all cases on a gear shift i lose all boost and loose all power and have to wait for the turbo to spool again i don't want anything that sounds good rather i want something that performs well i want to keep at least 0.5 bar after a gear shift -launch: the way it is now once i push the button i rev the engine up to around 4k and i can feel and hear the retard spooling the turbo and hear it wistle but i don't see any boost and when i let go of the clutch and depress the button i have no boost and the engine starts spooling from 0 bar -i want to have at least 0.5bar of boost before i can launch with a little bang perhaps whoever can help out or has a file that works that i can read and try to learn form it or try it is much appreciated Thanks in advance, M50B29 E30M3_V2.pclr
dx4picco
-my guess is that you are not getting bangs at the rev limiter because you use the fuel cut. and I don't think you can get bangs with fuel cut. you may consider igntion cut. -to have an effective antilag you need air going through the engine. it doesn't seems you use either a las valve or ethrottle so its gonna be hard keeping boost while having closed throttle -for the launch control, take it with a grain of salt but 0° absolute ignition timming seems conservative and may explain why you are not building boost. Angelo/E30M3-M50B28T-E36+
i tried both but never got a bang on ignition cut so i went with fuel and started geting little bangs stationary with fuel cut but on ignition cut nothing thats why i stayed on fuel cut any recommendation how it should be ? for antilag i am opening idle valve at 99% open can't it work ? for launch i tried from 0 to -20 still didn't get boost and the lower the ignition the harder it is to rev the engine any recommedations? remski2
Change RPM limit to igntion as mentioned above but change your End Cut to around 100% instead of 60%. (cut will be very abrupt and you might get a pop and a bang) Few other things... Also noticed that your Warm up enrichment table is always on. Ignition Idle table is not doing anything.. Question about the Knock table.. Why did you choose ECT as one of the axis.... any benefits ?
Angelo/E30M3-M50B28T-E36+
Hi there thx for the response Will try ignition cut tommorow morning yes you are right never notcied warm up enrichment table before ill zero it out after 70 C Ignition idle table is altering ignition depending if the rpm is going over the set point or lower ? shouldn't it be like that ? for knock i figured the worst place to knock or that increases knock frequency and has a higher damage output is on low temp and high temp and between the two i don't mind what happens as long as the temp is where it should be then knock sensors will detect any issue and its fairly noticibale when knock occurs from the ignition retard and cut also there will be an LED on the dashboard in the future for knock occurrence just to keep an eye on it what about ALS and Launch any suggestion on that ? remski2
For ECT/Knock concerns you do have a "ECT Ign Trim 3D table" where you can add or substract timing based on ECT. Oh.. nvm on the idle ignition table.. it was rolled up and I couldnt see the rest.. all good there. As for ALS and LC I havent gotten to that on my ecu yet so I wont comment. Adamw
For the two-step something like this would be more common. If this doesnt make decent boost then you will have to attach a log so we dont need to guess what is happening. You may need to turn on the fuel trim but try it without first. For the antilag you need to use TP as the load axis on your retard and cut tables as how you have it set up now as soon as it makes more than 30kpa MAP you are going to have no cut or retard. Again we need logs to be able to help. As per the help file comment a OEM idle valve is rarely enough to acheive any worth while antilag effect so you will probably need a bigger bypass somehow.
