Grant Baker Posted December 20, 2015 Report Posted December 20, 2015 Hi,Has anybody used a breakout board like this:https://www.adafruit.com/product/269So connect an EGT Probe (K Type) to the board, then use the "DO" output into an analogue input on the Storm?Apparently the output is 1mV/deg CAny opinions? Scott Posted December 21, 2015 Report Posted December 21, 2015 Hi Grant,If the board can output a varying voltage signal then it will be possible to receive this in on an AN Volt channel. However, from my quick look at the board is appears to output its data on an SPI bus? Quote
Grant Baker Posted December 21, 2015 Author Report Posted December 21, 2015 Hi Scott,Thanks for the reply.I read in the blurb somewhere that you can use the VO pin to output a linear voltage related to temperature...Can you suggest a different amplifier that you know works? Quote
Simon Posted December 21, 2015 Report Posted December 21, 2015 There are some good options from these guyshttp://www.exhaustgas.com/ProductDetail.asp?ProductID=1815&DepartmentID=16&CategoryID=56&MenuID=sub7&BasketID=&RepID= Scott and Grant Baker 2 Quote
mapper Posted December 22, 2015 Report Posted December 22, 2015 Or the Megasquirt CAN EGT Amplifier. It's also a great unit. You get better readings via CAN and save at the same time alot inputs. Quote
Scott Posted December 22, 2015 Report Posted December 22, 2015 Mapper, you're talking about the DIYAutoTune 8 channel unit? If yes, then we have added support for this unit over CAN to our ECUs. Quote
mapper Posted December 23, 2015 Report Posted December 23, 2015 (edited) Yes sorry i mean the DIY autotune 8 channel unit. I know, I was the persom who sent you the box to work out the CAN protocol ;-) Good work done, works great! Edited December 23, 2015 by mapper Scott 1 Quote
