  1. Hi, do you get any errors from the ECU. Does the engine try to fire. Have you got spark, is the ignition timing confirmed. Do the injectors fire. Does the fuel pump run. Have you calibrated the TPS and MAP sensor. We need more information to help you.
  2. Hi there, PM sent Regards Dave
  3. Hi what is the name of the RX7 pcl. file you have. I have one also, just wanted to see if it is the same file before i send it to you. Regards Dave.
  4. With your pcl file (MAP) open, go to the TUNING TAB on the top of the page, second tab in on the right. Open the TUNING tab and go to Runtime Values, when the screen opens, select the Triggers/Limits Tab.
  5. Purchase the unit from your local ViPEC dealer. Mercury coils work well, however i have heard of some issues. Depends on what model Mercury coils your talking about. As stated i prefer to use the Splitfire coils, they have proven themselves repeatadly in all of my installs when used on Nissan engines.
  6. Can you translate other language to English please, so we can help.
  7. Yes, you can run the XPS-4 with your PNP ECU. You need to remove the external ignitor. Use the following IGN O/P 1 = ECU Pin 1 connect to Pin 15 XPS-4 IGN O/P 2 = ECU Pin 2 connect to Pin 14 XPS-4 IGN O/P 3 = ECU Pin 3 connect to Pin 3 XPS-4. YOU MUST REVERSE THE POLARITY OF THE COILS WHEN USING CDI, these coils are non inductive so POSITIVE GOES to NEGATIVE and VICE VERSA. USE THE FOLLOWING FORMAT::::::: Coil A output XPS-4 pin 6 connects to coil negative on coils 1 and 6. Coil B output XPS-4 pin 11 connects to coil negative on coils 5 and 2. Coil C output XPS-4 pin 5 connects to coil negative on coils 3 and 4. Do not put a bridge between XPS-4 Pins 9 and 10, leave unlinked for Negative edge triggering. Coil positive on Coils 1,6,5 and 2 go to COIL negative A & B on XPS-4 Pin 18 Coil positive on coils 3 & 4 go to Coil negative C & D on XPS-4 Pin 17. The third wire on the coils EARTH go to earth on the cylinder head. Not a nessecity however i set the dwell table to flat 3 ms when using CDI's. On all RB 20,25,26 i use Splitfire coils, as standard RB coils are notorious for failing and cross arching. With the CDI unit i use NGK V-POWER series sparkplugs. Do not use RESISTORED PLUGS unless you have COMMS issues with your laptop. Set the plug gap at 0.8 mm if using high boost pressures 30 psi. Lower boost i run 1.0 mm. I hope this helps. Regards Dave.
  8. Hi lekonna, Very, very cool. Well done, i like what you have done. Regards Dave
  9. Hi Rune, i have emailed you a sequential twin turboed MAP. Not sure if that is what you are chasing, so i sent it anyway. Regards Dave.
  10. Do you have a sequential or staged twin turboed setup. I have a map for TWIN TURBOED SETUP.
  11. Does the Race Technologies dash have Can bus template in the software, to suit ViPEC. I dont have any experience with these dashes, only Motec SDL and SDL3 and CANBUS.
  12. What Auxillary output have you got the fan wired to. EG: if you have the fan wired to Aux Output 1, Go to that Aux output 1 tab and select it's function as A/C fan. You will then also have the ECT ON/OFF selections available , under that same tab.
  13. Hi Rune, congratulations, good luck for dyno day.
  14. Hi Rune, if you are using the ViPEC IAT (inlet air temp) sensor then you need to select it as Delphi AC IAT. If you are using the standard 2JZ MAP sensor then ST185 should be OK. The timing function you have described is correct. Normally the OFFSET of 205 is spot on, however if you command 10 degrees and see a different value, then you need to adjust the OFFSET value until you see the correct timing of 10 degrees. The delay value of 50 microseconds is also normally OK, however to confirm this value you need to rev the engine and check for timing drift, if the timing changes you need to adjust the delay value until the timing is steady. I recommend YOU USE A FIXED REFERENCE TIMING LIGHT, NOT AN ADJUSTABLE TYPE, these are far more accurate. With the fuel pump relay issue, yes connect the AUX 2 output wire to both of your fuel pump relays on pin 85. Pin 86 to IGNITION SWITCHED SOURCE. Pin 30 to Battery power source with fuse. Pin 87 to fuel pump +ve. As advised by JCT in your other thread.
  15. Have you calbrated the TPS and MAP Inputs. Have you confirmed your Ignition timing is correct under Triggers, Calibrate. The settings you have posted seem correct.
  16. Hi Rune, have you resolved your fuel pump issue. Dave.
  17. Hi Rune, Yeah sorry, as stated in my above post i sent you a wasted spark, CDI file accidently. Too many files on my laptop. I have renamed them now, so i dont confuse myself. Dave.
  18. Hi, Base Map sent. I have activated your outputs for Fan High Speed and Boost solenoid. You will need to reconfigure the rest of the Auxillary Outputs to suit your setup. Also while ONLINE to the ECU, set IGNITION OUTPUTS 4,5 and 6 to ON. They are still OFF in the base file. Dwell table has filled values to suit standard coils. Hope this helps. Regards Dave.
  19. Post your email address please, for file transfer. Dave.
  20. Hi Marius, base file emailed to you. Regards Dave.
  21. Can you list what Aux outputs are being used and what they drive. You mention Patch Harness, do you have a 2JZ wiring loom adaptor to suit a V88 that connects directy to the original 2JZ connector.
  22. Rune, have you configured your ignition wiring for wasted spark or direct fire. The reason i ask is that the file i sent you was for wasted spark and CDI, i forgot to let you know. Please advise if setup for direct fire or wasted spark, if direct fire, i can advise you on what to change. Sorry.
