  1. Very likely. It might require a custom stream from us to support it on the V series units as they are not user configurable like the iSeries is.
  2. Throttle continues to operate if you leave it in setup mode?
  3. Hi Dan To work on a G1 unit you would have to go for the 60-2 trigger wheel. The catch will be that we no longer have any of the required sub-boards to suit that trigger pattern. You could use a 12 on the crank an a single tooth on a cam. But the easiest would be to retain the nissan CAS
  4. You can find the list of changes made to the firmware through the VTS help file. Navigation: Vi-PEC Tuning Software VX Users Manual > Release Notes >ECU Firmware Version Information Firmware Version 4.9.9 (Rev 1800) - 26-11-13 Fixes · Wastegate Duty Cycle was not being logged. Firmware Version 4.9.9 (Rev 1780) - 11-11-13 New Features · Data logging will discard any logs less than two seconds long. This is to prevent unnecessarily filling of the available logging slots. Short logs could be recoded when logging switching conditions were momentarily true and then false. Fixes · The staged injection table used the wrong cell if the load axis was set to MGP. · A communications lockup could happen if Prime Fuel was turned on and the Prime Time was set to zero. · If dual MAP limits were used, the axis option was ignored on table 1 and instead always used ECT. · If MAP limit had it axis set to RPM, the value used was from two cells to the left of where it should have been. · An *undefined* Idle Speed Control status was sometimes displayed. · Differential Fuel Pressure did not read correctly if An Volt 1 was configured for Fuel Pressure. Changes · The logged parameters have been changed. This allows logging of a more use set of parameters. It is essential that logging is erased before or after this firmware update. If not, downloading of any logs recorded on old firmware will cause corrupt log files. · Aux frequency maximum values have changed to 4 kHz for Aux 1 to 4 and 300 Hz for Aux 5 to 8. · The order of parameters in the short and long serial data streams have changed. This is a result of the changes to logged parameters. If using a display that uses serial communications, it will need to be checked for compatibility with the new serial streams. Firmware Version 4.9.8 (Rev 1539) - 11-04-13 Fixes · 12 Cylinder engines could not run on twin distributor mode. · A problem that occurred when Fuel Mode was set to off and Pre Crank Prime was on Start Position and the Start Position DI was active. Firmware Version 4.9.71 (Rev 1495) - 22-02-13 Fixes · A problem where the ECU would stop if VVT control was configured on digital inputs but VVT Mode was set to off. · Improved high RPM stability of both Holden V6 Alloytec trigger modes.
  5. Hi For inputting to the ECU you will have to use CAN there is no provision to allow inputs through the serial.
  6. You have a late V4 G1 LEM. The V5 was the only firmware to support the the extra connector. The sub-board that is fitted to that unit is for a subaru EJ20 (pre the vvt motors) You will need a sub-board change to suit the nissan and if you want wideband and IAT will also need a V5 upgrade. [email protected] will be able to advise pricing.
  7. Hi Shaun You will want the 8 pulse signal from the crank sensor to go in to trigger 1 The sync pulse will then need to be wired to trigger 2. So on the 4pin plug you will use as follows Bypass to 8V EST to trigger 1 Dist ref high to Ignition one output. Ref low is not used. Â Â
  8. Yes it will be a reluctor sensor. We consider the most retarded position to be 0 and advance is added from this point.
  9. It is always a risk when the looms are made by the 100s If you are able to the loom should have a batch label on it close to the main connector this will have a date code. From this we can trace it back.
  10. It was likely the ECU was getting back fed through something on an AUX out. Very unlikely to have caused any damage.
  11. Yes you will be using the Trig 2 VVT option. Configuration will be very much like the 2GR-FE which is in the help file. You can use the 1GR-FE cam control mode. Â Â
  12. No way to put a variable voltage in to a Di. You could move up to a G4 Xtreme to get the extra inputs. The A loom is identical so you would only need to add the extras on the B loom.
  13. It could be a bad contact on the battery positive or a charging issue. It could also be an ECU issue. Does it ever move when the key is on but engine not running?
  14. Simon

    nos

You will need to activate dual tables for fuel and ignition. And have these switched based of a digital input that is activated when the nos is turned on.
  15. If you are running 5.0.3 firmware the ECU will turn the throttle off until it sees engine RPM. Try starting the engine and see if the throttle then moves.
  16. Hi Gsab On a 24 with 1 sync the most likely issue would be if the sync edge is occurring close to a crank trigger. You want to make sure the sync signal is halfway between the teeth on the crank. Shouldn't need a missing one.
  17. You could change the map but it could be better to increase the master fuel by 13ish %
  18. We have been geared for the older product. We recently got a shipment of the new style which will work but at this point will need to use a custom cal.
  19. If the AEM sensor has a 0-5 output there should be no issue using it. We would however normally recommend a TI sensor (but they are relatively expensive) If you disconnect the sensor signal from the ECU and measure with a volt meter do you see 5 volts or something different?
  20. If you have no luck send the unit down and we can have a look, Didn't realise you were in NZ.
  21. If you could email it direct to [email protected] would be great.
  22. You can connect via serial if you were to open up the ECU and move the JST plug over to the CAN/RS232 plug on the board. The pinout of the 6pin round plug then matches what is in the help file for the coms port pinout of the Storm or Xtreme To power the unit up this can be done while it is out of the case by clipping power across the big diode, power to the stripe side.
  23. Hi From the looks of the screen shot you are working with either a i88 plugin or at least a plugin map. In this case Aux 4 will need to be set as EThrottle Signal 1 this effectively controls Aux 10 Aux 9 is then selected as EThrottle Signal 2 If you have a i88 wire in you will find when you connect to the ECU or use the i88 wirein base map it will show aux10 and this can be set as E throttle signal 1
  24. Hi Craig First step will be to check in device manager that the device is showing under Ports COM and LPT The USB should have an assigned virtual COM port number. See attached image. As you have not started the configuration or tuning you should update to the latest firmware as the first step. Assuming the device has installed correctly as per the image then you should be able to upgrade without an initial connection. Just power up ECU open PC Link 4.9.9 then go to ECU controls and update firmware. This runs as a stand alone program that will then try to connect.
