  1. Adam, any thoughts on this please? thanksn
  2. Adam, sorry my post was a little miss leading. The Link Canbus Lambda will only output data when it is connected direct to the said cars battery. it is a race car, battery cut out controls the negative side of the battery to kill the power. If the Link Canbus lambda picks power up from from anywhere other than the battery we don't get any data outputted. There is 0.1volt difference from the battery positive terminal to anywhere else we have tried to power the Link Canbus Lambda from. Canbus lambda unit only takes a max of 1.2amps to warm the sensor then drops to 0.8amp once outputting data. As I said if we connect the Link Canbus to the positive terminal of the battery we see data from the Canbus Lambda. We have tried to Canbus units as well. Very strange
  3. We have an issue with a Link CANBUS Lambda I feel it is something with data-rate/communication as the Lambda unit needs connecting to battery 12v to make it work , connecting it to a ignition switched live stops the unit outputting any data ( no canbus faults shown in CAN F12) We are also using the same canbus trunk to run a Race Tech Dash and this works all the time and removing this item from the canbus set up does not allow the Lambda unit to work. We are using a Link Lambda unit on a Thunder ECU. car was designed to run a earlier Link ECU (Extreme) before the Thunder was released so we specced the car with a Link Canbus Lambda and not to use the Lambda set up to drive the LSU connected direct to the Thunder. Software sees the CANBUS unit in the CANBUS folder under CAN devices and with the unit connected to the battery we get data from the unit. We are using Firmware 3240 as when we built the map we couldn't get the motor to run using dual fuel maps turned on. We have since not used the dual maps in the tune but it will be needed at a later date ( Simon said there was a bug in the software with the latest firmware that prevent any injector output when dual maps are used as overlay) CAL file is attached Thanks ACORN PS13_V6 ECU BUILT ON THUNDER BASE NEW FIRMWARE_MAP 17 TEMP FINAL playing wth canbus.pclr

  5. Have a VQ35 motor with HKS cams fitted being run by a Thunder ECU been having some strange issues. I would like if possible if any one running a PnP Link in a dual cam 350Z to carry out a Cam Angel test for both cams to help me confirm I am seeing the correct numbers from my cams. Your number may not be in the same order but all 6 numbers should tally up with my attached angle numbers. Greatly appreciatted
  6. sorry for the phone picture of scope. This scope came from a 370Z that we are having issues with the cam/s scope are offset to the crank. Seems we are having issues with the crank trigger/wiring. I think the phasing is the same between the HR and VHR thou which is good.
  7. I found that in our workshop manuals seems strange they inlet cam scope should be the same as the inlet sensor position is in a different position on both motors. I think I have a VHR scope pattern will go and find it
  8. Guys, thinking it would be good to have end user configurable maps , so we can build a map that we can add the X and Y axis's that we want and the output , very much like raceRom on Ecutek software and the new configurable maps on Syvecs. I sometimes would like to be able to add another trim to a boost level like say steering angle to tame the boost when you have steering lock on.
  9. Okay will get my track car in the workshop and get a scope image. The crank signal should be the same between the HR and VHR motor as the flywheel is the same part and the block is the same part so the crank trigger is in the same position. The main difference between the 2 motors is the top end. 350Z HR has variable inlet/exhaust cam and the 370Z has only variable intake but also variable lift. The intake cam/phase sensors are in a different position between the 2 motors. Generic scope from Nissan workshop manual.
  10. Yes trigger wheel (flywheel) pattern is different and the cam triggers are in a different position on the inlet/exhaust cams. Is it better for you guys to have a car or are you happy to work with Scope readings? I have a HR car as a track car.
  11. Can we also have the VQ35HR trigger mode as well as the VQ37VHR please Thanks
  12. Thanks for the heads up guys , ended up going for a Nissan Juke DIG T Coil which is a reasonable cost and fit real nice and the connectors are readily available. Thanks
  13. Hi , we have played around with a Nissan K11 Micra, rebuilt motor , Forced Induction running on a PnP Short header S15 Link ECU , re-worked stock dizzy to act as the phase sensor and fitted 36-1 for the crank trigger. Issue we are trying to sort out a Coil on Plug with an amplifier built in the Stock CG14 coil on plug from Nissan don't have an amp. So at the moment we have used a 350Z C.O.P but it isn't long enough for proper fitment. Any one help us out with a good quality coil that is a little longer than the Z33 coil in the above picture please. We don't really want to run 4 separate coils with HT leads. Thanks in advance
  14. little more to the VHR37 than your seeing as the cam trigger are different to a DE/REV UP motor , the HR and VHR are the same crank trigger but I am sure the cam trigger is different. Do you still have the variable valve lift on the VHR?
  15. Hi, any one used a BMW E46 DBW motor on a DBW conversion? If so any one got a wiring diagram please and set up information?
  16. We use Syvecs (Life) ECU's and within the closed loop set up we can you can set up different trim conditions different % limits for adding fuel + and removing fuel - so you can remove a small percentage and add a large percentage different % limits for full throttle and part throttle ( uses a throttle percentage number to set up low load/high load condition) This will allow you to run closed loop 100% with different trim levels for low and high load. Thanks
  17. Hi, anyone run a Atom on a EP82 Toyota Starlet 4E-FTE motor? thanks
  18. Grant, we are just building a Micra K11 for a customer with a turbo fitted. can you post up a picture of the dizzy please , I think it will be very much like a RNN14 Pulsar Dizzy? thanks
  19. Simon, is there a max voltage that the Dig inputs can take? as moving the sensor closer to the reluctor will increase the voltage and running at speed will increase the voltage. thanks
  20. I am trying to get a Traction control set up on a Nissan Skyline R33GTST, this car has ABS luckily. We picked up the ABS sensor signals , being a GTST it has only 1 rear wheel speed sensor , we knew this would provide a signal with too much frequency, we saw this when tuning on the Dynapack the signal was dropping out due to very high frequency rate as we thought. We have a fix to cure this by using a Race technology VRS converter https://www.race-technology.com/gb/racing/products/sensors/miscellaneous-sensors/miscellaneous-sensors_vrs-signal-conditioner We picked up a front ABS reluctor signal again again we think the frequency maybe to high , what we noticed the front signal doesn't "wake up" until around 40kph. CAL File is attached 16_02_2016 dynofinal TRACTION turned off.pclr Any feedback will be greatly appreciated. Thanks 16_02_2016 dynofinal TRACTION turned off.pclr
  21. Grant, you should off asked me.
  22. Grant will be a good move over to Link from the other people. Far better system
  23. Building a base map for a install using a i88 wir ein ECU , both the INJ/ING outputs are greyed out (not selectable) As the car being built is a 4 cylinder car I want to use the other injectors outputs as auxiliary outputs How do I make the outputs selectable please. thanks
