2JZ GE VVTI wiring and basemap "link monsoon"

Hallo everybody,

i've strated tuneing my first 2jz vvti stock cams, efr8374, with g4+ storm, i have a question on right PID vvti sttings:

is default settings valid? engine run well but when iI active vvti it start dumping around target positions as if PID gain is too high or filter introduce too much retard on this ocntrol.


this is log of my first attemp at idle.

Oil pressure is good 4-5 bar @ 56°C at 1100 rpm

Does anyone have experiance about this?

I have had this on a 2JZ before too, they seem to be sensative to oil viscosity or something as I have also had them work well with the default PID.

In the case of the one that didnt work well for me the only thing I needed to change was set PID to custom and reduce the proportional to 4.
