  1. Trigger 2 is used on applications where the trigger 2 input is from a position that moves with cam timing changes. On some of the Subaru applications they had a trigger 2 that was off the cam gear and did not move with the change in cam timing. In this case trigger 2 vvt will be off and 2 Dis will be used. If the sensor connected to trigger 2 is on a part of the cam that moves relative to the crank then trigger 2 vvt will be used.
  2. On that connector bottom 2 pins are ground Top right is 14V Top left is AN volt 11 input. It would need a external wideband controller to run the sensor and then AN volt 11 can be set as Lambda.
  3. No developments at this point.
  4. As a general guide it is best to set the idle up initially with all idle control functions turned off. Once you can get the engine idling with no idle control (only the opening of the main throttle table) you can then turn on the open loop idle and adjust for good warmup. Do this with no load changes on the motor. Once the idle is as good as you can get it then go to closed loop.
  5. No worries with power hurting the ECU as it would be no different to it being connect to a PC with power on the USB port. No planed changes to the USB of the ECU as this would require hardware changes across the whole range.
  6. We have not done a news letter to notify of the release so only notification was on the Forum and if you happened to check the website.
  7. Wire to a single Digital input direct from the sensor, not the output of the Zeitronix display. The digital input then needs to be assigned as Ethanol sensor. Then in the runtime menu (F12) you will be able to see fuel temp and % ethanol change as the fuel temp and Ethanol change.
  8. VTS (Vipec tuning software) is the tuning software that you use to tune the ECU. This has a comprehensive help file that will explain the ECCS test function.
  9. Hi that there is a V44 plugin. You will need to configure to suit the N14 set up in the pin functions of the manual The ECCS test will also need to be carried out this is covered in the VTS help file. If you find you get a widest slot of 1 then change the dip switch settings to the alternative. Nissan ShortHeader PlugIn Manual.pdf
  10. Hi Pavlo It is in there. You would set your Start / end shift as digital input. But then in the Up/down shift digital input selection you now can select aux channels.
  11. Hi We will need a log and PCL file
  12. Yep that extra pulse / wave would be the result of a dip in the base circle of the trigger wheel. Provided the arming voltage is above its peak voltage it would be ignored by the ECU. Fortunately at this RPM there is plenty of room but this could change as the RPM increases.
  13. Hi Andy That should already be the case on latest firmware. Provided the channels are not in use.
  14. We have a fix coming for this very soon. As Davidv mentioned above if reset is performed and then load your original map back in you will be good to go.
  15. You are aware that the steps between the rows and columns are adjustable so for areas where the VE is not changing so much you can use less resolution and then where the VE changes rapidly you can then use closer spacing? We found on our test engine a 1UZFE vvt motor that you could achieve a very acceptable tune on 4 cells.
  16. Yep you will have full control over what ever functions you wire into the V88. Only issue could be if the factory ECU gets upset and tries stopping / limiting the engine.
  17. Scope images are a good start as we can then compare. Even better if you can indicate a TDC #1 point on the images
  18. Any of the above would be good options. Yes antilag works really well with E throttle as you can run a second target table to activate based on the antilag switch.
  19. Is the VQ35HR different to the regular VQ35de? as I'm sure we have had an HR motor running in a boat that had been converted to a cable throttle.
  20. ECU Model Differentian.pdf This is a good guide on the differences. Firmware is the same. ECU Model Differentian.pdf

    Help ID my ecu

Hand control only on that one. It would need the main micro replaced to get PC tuning, and then a full retune. At which point it would be much better to go to a newer unit like the G4+ Atom or Monsoon
  22. The pick up that is in the dizzy would need to be set a 6 teeth (if using multi tooth mode) or 1 tooth per TDC mode.
  23. Yep what you have is spot on. Only variance might be the arming voltages needing adjusting. To check these you would need a Scope to measure the signals and then adjust the arming voltages to 50-70% of peak voltage.
  24. Yep should do. It would be worth trying with logging of just incase that is the issue.
