Brad Burnett got a reaction from M1tch in Wideband - do I need to go CANBUS?
The AEM Xseries will out put CAN data on the AEMnet wires. Just connect them to CAN Hi and CAN Lo and follow the setup instructions in the help file. There is no need for an additional adaptor.
For connection to the ecu, you can either get a CAN F connector to connect the 2 can wires from the ecu to the CAN port next to the comms port, or you can just simply wire the 2 wires into CAN 2 which is on the B connector of the ecu.

Per the help file:
with bosch aftermarket sensor use 6khz

IMO, any "Tuner" worth their salt can tune a Link, sure it's not as easy as the canned stuff but it's not different to the rest of the major players in the standalone world

No it sounds more like whoever is advising you hasnt got a clue. Even the later "V2-3" ECU doesnt have ign2-4 on the normal 8 pin expansion sockets.

Brad Burnett got a reaction from Purpleline in R35 MAF
you can feed the maf value into the ecu and monitor but the ecu will not be able to use it for a load reference

Brad Burnett got a reaction from M1tch in Unable to connect?
comms port normally has an orange oring around it

Brad Burnett got a reaction from TechDave in CLL fuel correction %
G4+ has a very similar function called quick tune that is with key F10

Brad Burnett got a reaction from Summer Ng in Daihatsu L700 VVti Wiring Problem
That is for sure a Subaru ISCV. The Map sensor next to it looks Subaru as well. Honestly the pic looks like it is a Subaru.
VVT solenoid gets +12v from relay and ground from ecu Aux.
If it is just one cam angle sensor, the signal will go to trig 2. If it is just a 2 wire mag sensor the neg lead will go to Shd/Gnd right next to trig 2 on the ecu connector.

Brad Burnett got a reaction from Sheikh ikhwan in Link G4+ Atom II
1 no loss if battery is disconnected.
2 launch and flatshift are attainable with the Atom2. launch will have to be configured with imagination as it is not native in the software for the atom.

Brad Burnett got a reaction from mikegt4dude in flex fuel
I would suggest the content sensor as it will compensate for varying ethanol contents. Pump E85 is not always 85%, it can be all over the place.

Brad Burnett got a reaction from Adamw in Advise needed on G4+ Plug In Ecu
1) yes it can retard timing in the instance of knock once configured correctly.
2)Yes it has injector scaling and VE map
3)I would assume that the latency for those injectors would be very similar to the yellow 550cc Subaru Sti injectors.
6v 4.9ms
9v 1.72ms
12v .88ms
14v .67ms
16v .48ms

There is documentation in the help file for the AEM X series wideband units. They can be connected over CAN or via analogue inputs.

based on the log, it looks like you have shit fuel pressure. Max it reaches is 170kpa.

That will do it. Good deal.

Brad Burnett got a reaction from Schiwaa in Missing Cable? ECU to USB
There is about a 6 inch cable that comes with the ecus that goes from that connector on the board to the CUSB cable.
Definatily something I would recommend getting from link.
May have to go direct as that usually comes with the ecu so many dealers may not have.

Brad Burnett got a reaction from TechDave in Cruise Control buttons for cruise retrofit in older car
Heres a pic of the is300 unit relocated for a aftermarket wheel.
And a pic of the Subaru stalk.

Brad Burnett got a reaction from amg in Camshaft Trigger Edge / Sync Mode
That would be "cam pluse 1x"
If it were one tooth that spanned about 1/2 the way around, that would be cam level.
As for rising or falling, I would start with rising.
Once you get to cranking the engine, I would do a scope trace and if the rising edge of the cam signal happens at the same time as crank edge then switch to falling.
With hall sensors it really doesn't matter unless one side is dirty/has some weird shape or happens at the same time as the trigger edge on the crank.
And with the 60-2, the cam pulse cannot occur within the missing tooth or 30deg after it.

Brad Burnett got a reaction from Jenno007 in Poor idle
Based on this thread and your thread about boost control issues, I would assume that you need to take the car back to the tuner.
From my quick search, this should basically be the same motor as the audi tt with the 20v 1.8T motor. If that is the case, then this is a simple on/off cam control.
And if the idle is fluctuating from 800-1300rpm then yes the cam will switch back and forth continuously. The mapper has the cam switch whenever the rpm is between 1200 and 5200 rpm.

This is what i was thinking. I believe you can even use an electronic sender from later "W" series gear boxes.

Glad you got it sorted out Idris.
But if you would like to get better information from the members of the forum, it would help if you supplied a bit more information with your questions.
Different engine combinations sometimes benefit from different settings. And with your rather vague post, there is not much to go on to give you good suggestions.
I hope this helps with your further posts on this forum.
Have a nice day.
