Vaughan got a reaction from castillaricardo in Curious about Idle Timing Control after switching to a 36-2 trigger wheel
From memory I wasn't running ignition idle control but I found I could remove all the transient ignition trim when moving to a 36-2 trigger wheel so it definitely does affect timing drift especially on highly varying engine speed

That all worked out perfectly. Got that all setup in the link software no problem. Thanks again

Vaughan got a reaction from Electredge in Can Sniffing PClink
Technically possible and kind of already done with CAN Lambda detection and setup, has been mentioned before and is in the list of things to look at doing at some point in the future but no real time frame on it.

They'll be longer in the next release

Vaughan reacted to Clattie in No trigger signals on COP kit.
I didnt think about that, luckily I've capped off one of the ports on my intake with this special rubber tape we use at work so it should of acted as a pressure release. I'll have to see if it's come off.
I'll update tomorrow on the results!

Vaughan reacted to castillaricardo in Mazda MX5 NB2 (VVTi) with 36-2 trigger wheel
Good thing I double checked. My offset turned out to be -24 and not -8! We can call the 36-2 install complete, and I'll get that NB2 motor installed in a couple of months. Thank you all for your assistance!

comparing your trigger scope against my vvt motor and your cam is maybe 10deg off from mine
I would say turn the fuel back on and try and start it, did your timing light work when using ignition test? I assume you have the timing light clamp over an ignition lead between one of the coils and the spark plug?

Vaughan got a reaction from Electredge in Mixture Map
Would something like this be suitable where you can select a percentage fuel trim runtime to 'remove' from the mixture map (i.e. if this trim is adding 20% fuel the lambda value at that point in time will have 20% added to it so that Lambda value displayed is what the lambda would have theoretically been if the trim was at 0%)
Not sure how much value I see in this but will look into it.
Best way to tackle this is to use the conditional filters to remove transients
What filter conditions do you normally use and what would you want to use in addition to your current filters
For more complicated filter setups if you know what filtering you want ahead of time you could setup a gp output, gp pwm or mathblock to create an easy to use conditional runtime.
will look into this

Vaughan reacted to Knox in JDM DC5 Alternator fault
My customer bought the car as it is. So we are thinking complete cl7 engine swap with alternator but we are not 100% sure.

Vaughan reacted to Knox in JDM DC5 Alternator fault
Car is 2004 jdm market integra dc5 type r. Motor code is K20A but motor is from jdm cl7 accord euro r (Accorda has different ecu normally so I think the alternator is different) also I looked to alternator there is no writing on it. I forgot to have picture but chassis is LA-DC5-220….. I road tuned the car yesterday and owner said when he turns on head lights battery light come on and off after 1-2 seconds. So I increased the minimum clamp to 25. I think he will not have issue again.

Vaughan got a reaction from AbbeyMS in Multiple Target Lambda Tables
The Lambda Overlay table will be switchable by a selectable input in the next release if that helps

Awesome. Thank you both for the information. I'm going to install a Supermiata 36-2 trigger wheel and the missing teeth seem to be in the same place as the skidnation one, so it should be around the same as yours.

Vaughan reacted to RyanG in Math Block Character Limit
Awesome! I eagerly await the next update. As you may remember I'm on unreleased firmware due to a couple of issues I was experiencing, be nice to not have that error ID pop up when I connect (and every time the ecu/laptop drops out).

Vaughan reacted to Camjt1 in No spark while cranking.
Well that's what it was. I've almost got it started, think I just need to set timing. Thank you for the help.

Vaughan reacted to DerekAE86 in Relative "heat map" colouring when comparing two tables
Yep exactly like that! Allowing the user to configure their own colours would be nice too, but even this would be amazing.

Vaughan got a reaction from Kingy in VL RB30 cruise control with G4X plug n play
Should work as a standalone with the Link setup but you would need to fix whatever was causing it to be intermittent originally, my money without doing any research would be on the speed signal failing.

Vaughan got a reaction from MichaelR32GTR in Way too rich on boost
1.02 * 0.96 = 0.9792 so to remove exactly 4% you would use a value of -2.08 (would have to be -2.1 for the 1dp available in the table) but yes -2.0 would be around a 4% reduction from +2.0
-
Vaughan got a reaction from k fuku in high power output pins
No the two pins that each HP output use are joined inside the PDM and so are always doing the same thing, two pins are used so that higher current can be passed through the plug than a single pin would allow.

Vaughan got a reaction from k fuku in G4X and VNT actuator?
Any of Aux 1-10 will do PWM output pulling to ground with a 4k7? pullup to 12V when the pin is floating, any spare injector drives will do PWM pulling to ground but from memory they don't have pullups on them, any spare ignition drives will do PWM pulling to ground but from memory they only pull up to ~8V.

I did see those lumps after reading your reply and I have found the issue in the code, will fix that today and sort an updated firmware for you to drop in.
