    Auxilary problems

You need to make sure that the is only one output assigned as fuel pump. If two are assigned the same function one will not work. To help we need to see the file exactly as you are trying to use it.
  2. Hi Jon For CAN we send the data as follows on the Generic Dash stream. Generic Dash CAN Data Format All parameters are sent as 16 bit unsigned numbers, with low byte first. Some parameters must be multiplied or offset (constant value added) to get the correct calibrated value. The limits flags are sent through as a bit field (described below). 3. I would be checking the voltage from the sensor to see if it is consistent If the voltage is changing this will cause the readings to drift.
  4. Hi Make sure you have gone into trigger 2 settings and selected the Sync Mode to None. Also make sure there is no engine kill function active. (Hold power, Over voltage, Dual ECU, Anti Theft, Engine stop)

    Purge function

When active we will be switching the drive to ground typically. However in the settings you have the option of adjusting this. If you change the polarity to High it will let the signal float high when active. If the valve needs to be high side driven (voltage supplied from the ECU) then you will need to use Aux drive 5-8 and set the drive to high side.
  6. You need to be able to run the engine with no knock first. You will run it through a full run and log the noise levels. Gains will need to be adjusted to keep the cylinders even and the max noise level under the 1000 maximum typically aiming for around 350-450 at full power The table is then filled to figures about 20% above the actual noise levels.
  7. Hi T4700 Will get the max map values added to the to be sorted list. I have chatted to the engineers and they have the issue you are seeing. Again it is an issue while off line only. If the connect to an ECU it works as expected. This will be the case on the following tables. Anti-lag Ign (Degrees/Absolute Degrees) Anti-lag Ign 2 (Degrees/Absolute Degrees) VVTi Exhaust Target VVTi Exhaust Target 2 VVTi Exhaust Target 3 Is now on the list to be fixed.
  8. Latest was due to an error with the help file. (part of it missing) No change to the firmware.

    2006 WRX STI AC problem

Note on the jumpers there is no harm in trying them in the alternative position. As it is possible that a 2007 year car might need the jumpers in the 2006 position or vice versa.
  10. When setting the timing the stock loop will give issues when setting. It is best to fit a short HT lead and time off that.
  11. Hi The remote is a direct plugin to the 14pin tuning port. Once connected it will allow access to all settings. For the boost settings it will depend on the firmware in the ECU and if the ECU is controlling the boost. The DataTrap was an external logging device and is not needed unless wanting to log.

    Evo 8 knock control

There is a parameter global knock level that is an indication of the overall noise.
  13. We have a couple of issues with the website currently. There is a new PCLink (Software) the firmware is the same still. The download for the latest (5.5.7.3012) is right at the bottom of the downloads page. http://www.linkecu.com/app/site/media/sitemedia.nl/id.302986/.f
  14. Given you have a tooth count of 48 I suspect the frequency is going to get to high for the digital input. The input can only reach 500Hz Roughly you will reach this frequency at 125kmh (Given a wheel of 0.6m diameter)
  15. Should be as the pattern is the same only difference being the sensor type. Its not the nicest of triggers as the res is so low but it works.
  16. HI Grant you might be able to use the Daihatsu Copen trigger mode. But be sure to change the sensor type to Opto/hall I'm assuming this is a 4 cylinder engine.

    Datalogging

Yes logging is still possible. You will need to set the PC logging up on an unlocked map first. Then if you connect to the locked ECU you will be able to start logging via PC and look at parameters as required.
  18. That seems like a very big wheel diameter.
  19. Hi Anthony It has the stoic mode for control but it misses out on the Auto mode which makes changes faster. You still have mixture map and quick tune to help you along tuning the fuel.

    G4+ ECU questions

IF you go for an ECU with more than 4 injector drives you could set the 5th injector up as a staged injector or as an additional with simple mS control based of RPM and load. Most would just go to 4 larger injectors in the stock location and not use a 5th injector.

    Software update error

Hi Mohsin What are you working with or doing just prior to it going slow/ locking up or bring up the error.
  22. Hi Grant We don't have any info on the 1.3 the only info I have is from the HR16DE which I think some of the Micra's had fitted. We will need to know what the pattern is from the sensor to know if its able to be used. A scope capture would be ideal as a starting point.
  23. Jellybean is spot on all we need is a 0-5 output to the ECU and you can then calibrate to suit.

    MK4 Supra ECU

The knock control will try to remove timing if set up but there are no limits around it to actually limit the engine. Quick tune is tuning tool and as such I guess you could say it is VE tuning as you are tuning to suit the VE of the engine. Traction control on the Supra would need additional wheel speed inputs wired in. The frequency off the ABS sensor will be too high for the Di inputs. You need inputs will a lower tooth count to keep the frequency under 500Hz No difference. On all models the port has both can and RS232 in it. It just depends on which wires you end up using.
