The dips/peaks seem acceptable. Do you have closed loop idle control on? I'm just trying to guess what you got as you didn't attach your tune file.
If you have the Engine Fan controlled by ECU (triggered by one of the outputs), you can have the 'Engine Fan Idle Up' setup.
Sample attached 'Alt Control Target Table' should cover your intended targets for overrun, idle, cruise, & full throttle -- adjust the values as you want them to be.

There is a "user lockout" setting for LTFT coming in the next release, so you could use a GP output to set whatever conditions you like for disabling it.  This lockout will disable both the learning functionality and the trim.

Ummm... You're supposed still to have warm-up enrichment up to 70°C. While any warm-up enrichment is still active, any fuel corrections would be counter intuitive.

On one hand I agree the base maps as provided by Link are far from the best base calibrations I've used.  On the other hand, I've worked to develop my own base maps that gives customers a reason to choose me as their dealer and tuner.  If the base calibrations were good to go without much adjustment, people would tend to buy the ecus and possibly never seek out professional tuning help.  This could lead to very bad results and ultimately Link would be the likely target of any blame for a poor result.  By providing "startup only" tunes they force the end user to find a competent tuner - or to find these forums and seek help here - so that someone with more experience can get involved and help them go through all the necessary parameters.  This seems like the more conservative strategy and should - in the end - provide a better result.  Link gives out tuning aid free of charge here if you have specific questions to ask which is far more than most ecu manufacturers do.

Hi... Update your ECU firmware to the latest version. There, you'll see a CEL Mask table where you can mask certain error codes.
*Change the value from 0 to 1 to mask.

Got the car tuned last night and made decent power for a 1.6 4ag
Ended up reducing the threshold a bit further up top and did not encounter any misfiring.
Switching the ISC active state to high did in fact fix my idle issue as well.
Thank you Adam, Koracing, and Essb00 for your support!

Depending on engine setup, the effect of default engine limiter cuts would be different.
To change the Start Cut & Cut Decay Time, you need to enable the Advanced Mode. See help file for info on how to set it up (you may be needing to do some trials to get your intended outcome).

The speed reading spikes are caused by high frequency noise being picked up by the DI. Try this simple low pass filter circuit below (just if you have some electronic parts lying around). This solved similar problem on mine (though on G4x).

Yes, you can make use of the 3D table so two parameters are looked up for one GP RPM limit.

essb00 got a reaction from Ian Hendra in Short circuit protection from back EMFs on inductive loads such as injectors and coil-on-plug ignition
You generally don't need back EMF protection for low current inductive loads such as injectors (high impedance, switched low side).
Ignition drive triggers won't really need a back EMF protection as they are switched to high (to trigger external igniter or 'smart' coil-on-plugs).

Back EMF protection is mostly needed for injector drive or ignition drives repurposed to control higher current inductive loads on PWM (like solenoids).
For more info, you can refer to the help file under 'Wiring Information > Output Wiring > Auxiliary Output Wiring'.

    1. Use the RPM limit - 3D table (with differential fuel pressure in one axis).
    2. Use GP RPM Limit for oil pressure.

I have seen this happen on some modern laptops with USB-C ports.  What I think is happening is they have the USB port set up to operate in client mode by default.  It must need to see load on the power pins for the port to be switched to host mode.  Since our ECU's are powered by the car battery they dont use the USB power pins at all so the laptop cant detect a client has been connected.  This is why if you plug in a USB hub (that takes a little power) the port is put in host mode and the ecu is detected ok.

G4X should have entries in both categories, you can swap between serial comms mode (possibly less noise sensitive )and direct USB mode (a little faster) in the communication settings.

essb00 got a reaction from orange EP in Which cylinder is the "knock window" setting?
If you have set the injection mode set to sequential and depending on trigger mode selected, the ECU has reference which cylinder is firing ignition. The knock window will be for each cylinder that is firing for each cycle.

Post a copy of your tune file (*.pclx).

Both the oil press and MAP sensor inputs show zero volts.  This means those inputs are in fault state and using the error value (100kpa for MAP).  Did the oil pressure used to work?  I would start by confirming you have 5V and ground at those sensors before replacing them.  It would be unlikely for two sensors to fail at the same time.

Your MAP sensor is not working on that log - it is reading almost as BAP.
Check the vacuum hose from intake manifold going to the MAP sensor.

You had a trigger error as it reached 400rpm (at the time also ECU disconnected from PC) that's why crank hold time was skipped.

You nee to fix your idle ignition table. The values on the table are used as is - not as corrections from main ignition table.
Also increase your idle proportional gain.

essb00 reacted to INSW20 in Lean cut engine protection
Here's how I have mine set up:

So I have two thresholds for lean cut, one for low boost, and one for higher boost.  Both have timers to give some wiggle room for gearshifts, although I'm trying to minimize that with accel enrich.  These are only triggered over 2500rpm and when in boost.  My RPM Limit Table 2 is a flat 2500rpm, so if this activates, it automatically cuts out until conditions reset or down to 2500rpm.  I also have a fuel differential pressure limiter.
